LOL.  So, those day beds go for $150 a day, and the couch I camped out at goes for $500 a day.  But, but, it’s got a TV (not pictured).  Self-proclaimed models/social influencers also started posing around the pool and walked around narrating video selfies.  Gonna go check out the pool in the West tower and see if it’s a little less douchebaggy.

I think we've all experienced these situations  and tend to handle them with a grain of salt ..... a day on a cruise in crappy weather is still better than a day at work.

Solarium and Solarium Bistro is your friend!
The solarium is a great place to relax, and the bistro is highly underrated and usually under utilized for its meals. 

This is so pathetic, grown ass man acting like a spoiled child/teenager. What kind of an adult acts like this?! Why not enjoy your cruise? As if the captain is purposely missing ports to spite the passengers. Wanting a full refund on a cruise that was probably already discounted if it was sailing in an a stormy season. Its like cruising the Caribbean in September/October, cruises are a little cheaper and odds are pretty good that your itinerary will be changed due to storms/hurricanes. Regardless there is absolutely no reason for an adult to be acting like this.

It will be Liberty moving to Mexican Riviera and will be offering a reposition around South America when she does move.

I've never understood the concept of rewarding folks who don't have to fly to a cruise. 
I have to buy a plane ticket to cruise so therefore I and not eligible for cruise fare discounts.  How does that make sense? 
I have flexible travel plans, Southwest offers reasonable airfares under 90 days yet I am penalized because I have to fly.  
Why should someone who can drive to the cruise port get a discount?  
Celebrity seems to be on the same page as me, Royal not so much.  

No group like RCBlog that I'm aware of for Celebrity. There is a Celebrity-specific forum on Cruise Critic, but they're a bit more... cantankerous... at times than the folks here. I guess they don't have as many nice Canadians on that forum to help keep things mellow. ?

Our first cruise was on Radiance of the Seas in 2006 (our 25th wedding anniversary).  We remember two things vividly:
1).  Our first date was at a restaurant in Montreal called Portofino.  We were pleasantly surprised that Royal Caribbean took this into account and named a restaurant on Radiance Portofino as well.  It made us feel immediately "at home".
2).  We loved watching the guests dance all over the ship.  We were both quite envious.  When we returned home, we immediately started dance lessons.  You will see us on a ship someday.  We are not good, but we are not bad.  You will immediately notice who we are ... we will be the ones having the most fun on the dance floor.  Our favourite places on Royal Caribbean ships to dance are:
Any Centrum on any night. The Schooner Bar on Anthem (the floor just beside the piano is a dance floor just made for two). The entrance to the Schooner Bar on Harmony (we know it's not really a dance floor ... hasn't stopped us yet). Every Central Park (at night under the stars with slow music) Every Promenade (crowded or just us) The lounge forward on deck 5 on Voyager and Freedom class ships. Every Elevator that has the Stowaway Piano Player. Curt and Sue from Canada

My first Royal Cruise was 11 years ago.
Three weeks before my x decided to become my x.
The cruise was awful. Why? Because all I remember from that cruise was him being drunk, a jerk, and not wanting to do anything at all. His drink of choice was "Grey Goose Martini with Six *&^%$ olives". Six. Never understood why SIX? To this day.... if I hear anyone say "Grey Goose Martini..." I cringe and hear in my head "with six olives".
This December marks 10 years free of my x. I wanted to celebrate with a "do over" and in 217 days, I board the Grandeur of the Seas (same ship) and I will indulge in all the cruise ship vacation fun and experiences that I wanted to do all those years ago but instead listened to a drunk jerk complain for seven days.
I am going to go do all the things and take excursions and dance and see the shows EVERY night! I am going to have so much fun and I am going to do it right this time!

As someone in the medical field, I can highly recommend that you rapidly book two more cruises and post in the morning!!!  That is exactly what helps my post cruise blues!!!?

In my humble opinion, a gratuity that is mandatory is not a gratuity.  What are we gratuitous for? Paying the extra 18%?  This is just a tax levied by RCCL and kept by RCCL.

From this reply, I could see that mattresses will not be your only problem when you sail.

I don’t believe Matt was trying to be sarcastic. He was trying to point out that people’s taste in mattresses are indeed subjective. And I would be careful about being rude to him because he is the creator and maintainer of this entire site and blog. He may not get offended but others trying to offer you advice might. I myself am already upset at your response to him.

Are the beds comfortable? Does broccoli taste good? Is that new movie any good? Is 11pm too late to stay up?
The answers are going to very subjective. Just because some say one thing doesn't mean that will be your experience.

Oh right my mistake. Well hope it happens so I'm not flying for 6 hours.

3&4 night sailings even better as it would give us Westcoast peeps an opportunity for short getaways that the Floridians enjoy!

Me:  So...You know Royal is coming out with a brand new ship called Odyssey.  We haven't sailed it yet.
Hubby:  Ok, did you already do something?
Me: Well, it's a 4 night and a ton of people are going.  I may have put something on hold.
Hubby:  Do I really have options here?
Me:  Not really.  Love you. ?

OMG OMG OMG - Mr SpeedNoodles said "heck, we might as well get a quote!!"   I flung "Maybe we should just stay on the ship and do the 5-night afterwards" and he's all "I'd do that".  #EatingRamenForTheNextYear

To Key or NOT to Key.    NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    NOT getting  it.  NOT worth it.   So much $ for so little.    Even on sale it would be a hard sell.  But that`s me.       

It's an interesting objective if you can make it work while not forgetting why you cruise.
Perhaps start with trying to sail all within a class such as all Oasis class or all Vision class.  
I'm missing Rhapsody in that class but I wasn't going to sail her to Cozumel at a premium price compared to other ships that can get me to Cozumel.  Along came an interesting Greece itinerary next year so I'm looking at it which will complete the Vision class for me.  
Same with Jewel in Radiance class.  
Spectrum and Voyager at the moment represent a challenge.  That's not insurmountable but cruising out of China just to say you've sailed it isn't my thing, I'd rather put that money towards a bucket list itinerary on another ship even if I've sailed that ship. 
I've found a South Pacific on Voyager in 2021 after she is AMPED that is bucket list so that will complete the Voyager class for me but my purpose in that booking wasn't to sail Voyager so much as reach some specific ports in the South Pacific.  
So if you can make it happen in the long term that's great but don't forget why you cruise in that journey.
