I know Quest is 18+, but is it enforced? I have a 16 yr old and who would like to go.
On Oasis a couple weeks ago the cruise director actually stopped the show and insisted that some teens who were there with their parents leave. Totally called them out and actually waited for them to leave, stating it is billed as 18+ on the app, in the compass, and on the signage. I've never actually seen that happen before but never really paid much attention to if underage teens were present.

I wonder if RC gives special rates (or a free cruise) to a priest if they agree to perform mass.
Not likely. The percentage of people looking to attend mass on a cruise ship is too small. A previous poster mentioned 200 people attending a mass on enchantment, that is less than 1% of passengers.

Since all advertising for Royal shows the latest and greatest features I feel a first time cruiser (especially with children) should do Oasis class ship. Being on this site means you are doing some research which is good but you wouldn't believe how many people see advertising for Royals latest ship, then book the cheapest cruise they can find (usually an older ship) and are shocked when there are no water slides or zip lines or aqua theatre.

If they are happy with 97% participating in eMuster and that's BETTER than the old way, then the ship MUST be departing without everyone complying. We get tons of complaints from one-time-posters about all kinds of ways Royal has wronged them, but I can't remember anyone claiming they were thrown off the ship for skipping muster/eMuster. I've got to assume there's some threshold of participation that allows the ship permission from the Coast Guard to depart. I also seem to remember hearing about a "makeup Muster session" on the first morning for those that arrived late or didn't participate. (This memory is several years old so I don't remember details.) If that's true, maybe they do have a way to require people to attend.
On a cruise several years ago our cards were not registered at muster (old muster) for some reason and we were contacted and had to go to a muster the following day. I cannot remember how many people were there but it was a fairly large group

Did they have a scale? Does everyone get checked? If so, can they see your weight or just an okay to go light?
They have a scale but not the weight, just a red or green light

I am on that verge weight as well. Am ok on most slides but it varies from ship to ship and even slide to slide. Some are wierdly specific….. I can’t remember which ship but one slide had a weight limit of 243lbs

I smell it all the time on cruises. I don’t smoke it myself but actually prefer the smell over regular cigarettes lol

Is Nassau more of a short cruise destination? I have been on 13 Caribbean cruises and never been to Nassau. I don't purposely avoid it, it has just never been on an itinerary I have booked.

Used it once and was disappointed.
You cant book ahead so the BOGO applies to the "prevailing price on the ship", think when all was said and done we saved about $10 by not taking advantage of the pre-sail "discount pricing" and although there was good availability on board the timing wasn't as good as what it would have been if we had booked online ahead of time.
Went back to booking ahead and not using the coupon since the savings was so minimal.
That sounds about right

Norwegian has officially announced that they are back to 'old' muster on all ships effective immediately

Cruise because you want to cruise. Choose the ship you WANT to go on. Choose the itinerary you WANT to sail. Sailing to 'earn' points is silly as the overall benefits cost is generally not really more than the price of the cruise.

We have been to Tabyanna beach club twice in Roatan. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach

The app still has references to now outdated covid protocols. Someone emailed me the other day about the app showing vaccinated zones.
Bottom line is these are out of date and no longer required from North America
Last week the app was referencing some shows as 'for vaccinated guests'

A 'friend' recently cruised and brought 2 bottles with carry on, and 1 bottle in each checked bag and had no issues. Bags were delivered timely with no issues

Yep, poor dude. First night and third night.
First night was at about 10:30 p.m. near the stairs that go down to the casino.
Third night was was out the front of sorrento's where people were lining up at about 12:00 p.m. ish. This is one that I witnessed happened. This 20 year old just decided to let go while standing in line for pizza. I must say I lost my appetite at this point lol.
Too many people getting absolutely obliterated with the drinks package.
Unbelievable, I sure hope these folks were cut off for the rest of the cruise

When we got of Oasis yesterday morning in Miami it was 6 degrees celcius (42f), when we landed in Vancouver Canada last night it was 8 celcius (46f). I can honestly say that has never happened before lol

Just got off Oasis and on our last scheduled sea day (Coca Cay day became a sea day) staff was clearing out towels and belongings off chairs in the solarium. This was done around 7:30 am. When nearly every chair in the solarium was 'taken' but less than a dozen of us actually present. It wasn't until nearly 11 AM when I noticed an irate 'hog' trying to figure out where their stuff went........nearly 4 hours after it was removed.
-
The question should be who doesn't do this? At least try to keep it down lol. Just got off the Oasis and the couple above us was extremely noisy lol

Don't you wish you can force those kids to stay on the elevator until the elevator had visited all the floors they had selected. I bet those kids would only do that once.
I witnessed a bored kid hit all the buttons on an elevator then follow the elevator on the stairs watching it stop at each floor

The videos I’ve seen are crazy! I hadn’t heard a cause. Interesting to hear it was a sharp turn.

So I had no idea I was able to make reservations in advance. Now every single show is sold out. Does anyone know if more times are opened up on the day of embarkation? I fear we won't be able to see ANY shows.
Out of curiosity I checked Cats reservations for my Oasis sailing next week and there are still several options available for it lol. All other shows are sold out.

Checking weather at the airports I fly out of and through for next Tuesday and all looks good! Hopefully no flight delays and we'll be in Miami in a week getting ready for this unique sailing!

How many of these threads do we need? Seems there is a new one started every 2 weeks. I hope a mod just locks this. Nothing good will come of it.
