I agree.  I think there are enough places to find this information already.  I’d even say that the roll call section has out lived its usefulness.  I think there was a big push when cruising restarted, but it doesn’t seem to get a ton of activity any longer.  Maybe I’m just picking unpopular cruises 🙂

Nope roll call section is a dead a door nail. No one responds generally when you post.

just wondering what would everybody’s thoughts are having a ship/cruise review forum added.

Yes, a good idea for a forum with short reviews after cruise is completed. I find live blogs too much to process. I don't benefit from them, except for a few photos here and there. Reviews sorted by ship can be helpful in answering the many posts about choosing one ship over another. They can also highlight recent changes or trends.

I actually agree and have been hoping for one.  I have to use some other forums and sites for things like Deckplans, photos of rooms, etc.

The fact that the Blog itself covers some of these ship specific things, and the fact that there are other places we can go to find this information are both reasons to make a sticky thread or specific forum topic here and make it all centralized.

I love this fan forum more than any other fan forum for any other hobby I have ever participated in.  I love it so much, I am on even when I do not have pending cruises.

I really think a centralized all-in-one forum is the way to go.

Sort of like a “post cruise blog”? We usually move those over to the live blog section as well when they come up.

That explains why they are hard to find. When we store information (posts), we should think about ease of retrieval.  Now searchable, specific titles are a start, but good design of multiple fora is important, too. And it's ok to call fora "forums", as many do.  Latin terms can be a bit much!

I get what the OP means. I think with just plain ship reviews it might be easier to find info about rooms. Maybe that what the forum should be, just room reviews on ships.

To get true room reviews with actual pictures I use the royal Caribbean cruise ship cabins Facebook group.
they don’t allow links to generic sites and the rules are you have to have travelled in the cabin you are posting about so you can get a pretty good idea of what you will get before you board

Since I am not on Facebook (or any social media for that matter) I use the cruisedeckplans site when I want to look at a specific cabin/room.  Even if that particular one does not have a video or photo…there is almost always one close by to look at.  As for ship reviews I do have to rely on YouTube for that.

As far as Roll Calls…seems to me it’s not very useful lately.  I have had to rely more on the CC (sorry!) site lately to get useful information for my upcoming cruises!

Regarding the LiveBlogs…I do follow the Live Blogs on here…however I am not a Suite dweller and lately just about every Live Blog seems to be from someone in a suite.  Following the LiveBlogs is entertaining for me because I do enjoy reading the back and forth conversations, jokes, and “shenanigans” !  I do love a good crazy story here and there 🤪!
On the other hand…I don’t like it when someone reacts negatively to something said and creates almost like a bullying situation…after all…we are all individuals and have our own ways of thinking.  There really is no need to make someone feel their thoughts are “wrong” when they are just different ways of looking at things!  Kind of a turnoff when I am reading a particular post and this type of conversation appears… 😔  But that’s my opinion which may not please everyone 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Funny…I am not a live blogger myself but as many others have posted throughout this website…it’s fun to live vicariously through someone else’s experiences!
Now…I may have gotten off the subject a bit…apologies for that.
Hope everyone currently on a cruise is having a great 😊 time…and those currently counting down to theirs is building their excitement…like me!
