Thorntor Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 Is room service still available, particularly morning coffee and continental breakfast. Â I seem to recall seeing somewhere that room service has been halted ? Â Quote
Ampurp85 Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 Yes it is still available, not only that but on Indy the hot breakfast didn't have a charge. I had breakfast delivered 2 mornings to enjoy on my balcony. Regular room service will incur the fee. WAAAYTOOO and Nate Y 2 Quote

Your stateroom attendant will leave a card you can put out at night, or you can just call when you wake up. Neesa 1 Quote

Anyone else experiance this? think i will stop and ask either the LA or the Diamond Lounge Concierge when I board Explorer tomarrow  Quote
Thorntor Posted January 22, 2022 Author Report Posted January 22, 2022 Thanks everyone. Â DW wakes early and has to have coffee. Â I have been known to be on the promenade waiting for something to open so that I could get her that first cup. Â The alternative was to take instant coffee and hope the water is hot enough. Â Quote
Ampurp85 Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 I will check if it's available on my mariner on the 24th. There wasn't a breakfast charge on Harmony but I was also in a suite so who knows. I think this is a covid base protocol. Quote
Pooch Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 Coffee & continental type breakfast items have been complementary for all cabin types pre-covid. Â Tip the delivery person. Quote

fmzsep12 Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 On Adventure in July the hot American Breakfast was complimentary, which was a change from pre-shutdown. In royal app for my Allure March cruise its also showing no charge as of now. Quote
Pooch Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 This is what shows for my March Harmony cruise Quote
need2cruz Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 I've never done room service for breakfast. Â I was wondering, what specifically do you get with the free continental? Quote

Nate Y Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 This is good to know. I'm sailing Indy on the 31st and free room service with coffee will make getting to the dolphin encounter a lot easier. I assume it'll be self-explanatory when we get on board? Quote

Which is a baby suite, but I wasn't charged at all for hot breakfast. Even though my app mentioned the service charge. RWDW1204 1 Quote
Nate Y Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 I take it the Mimosas under the American column incur a fee just as the rest of the American breakfast items regardless of my drink package? Had to ask. Pooch 1 Quote
AshleyDillo Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 My Freedom cruise was doing hot breakfast for no room service charge for everyone. I believe implemented this on some ships that don't have as many breakfast dining options for social distancing reasons -- i.e. to avoid everyone cramming into the Windjammer at the same time. I haven't seen the offer on the Oasis class ships since the restart. It was listed in the Cruise Compass on my Freedom cruise. Ampurp85, PPPJJ-GCVAB and Nate Y 3 Quote
CruisingNewb Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 Question about the $8 service charge, it says per order, does this per item ordered? For instance, if I order 5 dishes, is that considered one order and thus $8 service charge, or is it $8 per item? Quote

Qeyton Dude Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 On Anthem first week of Jan we had Coffee and continental breakfast, but no more door hangers, you need to call your order in. Also had to ask Room Steward for the menu, it wasn't originally in the room. Quote
