Arlen
Hoping RCI can get a better handle on passengers who refuse to follow new Guidelines due to Omicron outbreaks. Watched maskless people being served at buffet, in stores on boards, disembarking and even entering lines for guest services. Many teenagers walked around with masks on chin or not at all. As a long time cruiser I want the industry to succeed but worry that regulations that are not enforced at all will become problematic with all of the breakthrough we are seeing currently. columbus_cruiser
Neesa
Totally not the case on Odyssey right now, corporate must have made a call. I have never witnessed so much security posted within the ship. All crew seems to be addressing masks, and most are compliant. We were at Sorrentos sitting at a table having some tea, masks off of course. Mr. Cabash stands up without mask on and while reaching into his back pocket to get it to put on a staff member was on him, made me chuckle. Very serious right now and they are being worn correctly, you don't see a nose! I haven't used lipstick thus entire sailing:) They let us know all movies are complementary too if you want to stay in your cabin. I'm typing this from my balcony. I must say I feel the ship is handling this well. While disappointing I feel safe and still enjoying. Going to a Tap show they added to the schedule at 1500. Yes. Added. Nice. sammy79, The Fox, dee02554 and 8 others 10
CrznTxn
Just got off of Adventure out of Galveston and when we boarded on Monday we were informed that ALL venues indoors require masks at all times, even the "vaccinated" designated shows and events. The crew made sure we all complied and witnessed them reminding folks to "mask up". The tough ones were the teens and children who seemed to have a problem keeping them on but the crew was nice but firm. Due to the "mask at all times" mandate the casino was designated as non-smoking and after the initial shock to some, all complied. The cruise was enjoyable and we never missed a beat. Cruising today requires flexibility and patience and even with the extra protocols was as good as it was before. I was on the same sailing and I was thoroughly impressed with the cooperation of the passengers and the staff being patient yet firm on the mask requirement. We had a great time even though we were worried about the mask policies when the announcement came out Friday afternoon. Neesa

JimnKathy
Can't really blame Royal for tightening mask mandates. The entire industry is financially leveraged to the hilt due to to the shutdown. Another CDC shutdown would throw the cruise lines into bankruptcy. Sweety
I was on Jewel, masks everywhere and everyone had smiling eyes. Neesa and WAAAYTOOO
Lovetocruise2002
We just left Allure too (12/23/21) and for the most part (except maybe one or instances), we saw masking everywhere by crew and passengers. Tmsmith
We were on Liberty in Nov and while sitting in the Promenade, saw store clerks, bar staff and even cleaning crew members stop what they were doing, come out into the walkway, and politely remind someone to either put their mask on or how to wear it correctly. We were very impressed and commented on it in the survey. There is so much media on negative cruise things, we wanted them to know their crew are doing things right.
