SarahLouWho Posted February 19, 2022 Report Posted February 19, 2022 I just checked and saw they have new cruises available again. I've never cashed in any of my PopSlots rewards before, but I have enough to book any of the cruises available. Is it possible to pay to upgrade your room category if one is available? I am not a huge fan of interior rooms. Quote
San Diego Garrett Posted February 19, 2022 Report Posted February 19, 2022 Yes, you can ask the representative to tell you the upgrade price for any category. I've booked 2 cruises from MyVegas so far. Bob Burd and SarahLouWho 1 1 Quote
MomtoARQ Posted February 22, 2022 Report Posted February 22, 2022 I just purchased a cruise last week. I can't apply the $100 OBC until my cruise is within the 1 year window, so mid-March. Can I purchase the myvegas $100 credit now and wait to apply it in mid-March when it's within the 30 day rule and the 1-year rule? Quote

The timing is very critical here, and you may be able to get the OBC applied per the terms and conditions for the myVegas OBC reward. The stipulations are that you have to Apply this reward to your cruise within 30 days of the purchase of the cruise -> If you purchased the cruise last week, for example Feb 15th, then you'd have until March 17th (30 days) to apply the reward to this cruise New reservation sail date must be within one year of reward redemption -> If you sail date is March 15th, 2023, then you could redeem this reward for that sailing starting on March 15th, 2022. Depending on your sail date and the day you booked the cruise, you might have a small window where you can redeem this reward. Quote

But what if the myVEGAS OBcredits are sold out during those couple of days? So can I buy it now and then apply it when I call in mid-March? Thanks Quote
WesKinetic Posted February 22, 2022 Report Posted February 22, 2022 I redeemed a $50 free play reward for a cruise next month. Anyone know if that will automatically be put on my card? Or do I need to go to the casino cashier for them to set it up? Quote

Thanks You should purchase the reward now or whenever you see it available next. It doesn't expire for at least 30 days. Quote

A few follow up questions, please: Do you have to book directly with Royal Caribbean to be able to apply the $100 OBC? Can my wife and I both get the $100 OBC applied or is it only one reward per stateroom? Quote

I believe so, but I'm not 100% positive on that. 3 hours ago, jbmakingmemories said: Can my wife and I both get the $100 OBC applied or is it only one reward per stateroom? Only 1 myVegas reward per booking (stateroom). Even if you had different myVegas accounts. Quote
San Diego Garrett Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 Yeah, I thought I'd get lucky and be able to get a free cruise and $100 OBC for the same cruise. No dice Quote
sunset1031 Posted February 26, 2022 Report Posted February 26, 2022 Why does the $100 OBC terms & conditions say "reward must be used within 90 days of purchase". My sail date is June 5. Does it mean I need to wait until March 5 to purchase and redeem my reward? Quote

No, that t&c section simply means you have 90 days from when you purchased the "reward" from myvegas to redeem it towards an eligible cruise. Good luck. Quote
GKMCruising Posted March 12, 2022 Report Posted March 12, 2022 Quick (probably stupid) question - are C&A points earned for MyVegas comp sailings? Trying to plan out our next couple sailings so we can potentially earn our first crystal block on Icon when it debuts late next year. Quote
AlohaLivin Posted March 12, 2022 Report Posted March 12, 2022 The wording regarding redemptions for obc is so obtuse God himself may not be sure of the criteria. From what I read, you have to claim it pretty quickly after booking a cruise and then on top of that the cruise has to be within a specific period of time (often closer in than when I book cruises - I booked 2 in the last few days for Dec 2023, to understanding none of the onboard credits would even apply that far out). If someone has a version that makes sense, versus the “stoned lawyer” version online, please post it! Quote
CelticB23 Posted March 12, 2022 Report Posted March 12, 2022 Yes, I earned C&A points on my last MyVegas cruise. Quote
MomtoARQ Posted March 14, 2022 Report Posted March 14, 2022 I called RC today to get my $100 OBC applied and he said because I booked through a travel agent I have to get it applied through them. Well my “travel agent” is just an online booking agent called RedTag, comparable to Expedia. I called but ended up getting accidentally hung up on after 2 hours of being on hold while he talked to the RC representative. Any way to see if it worked? Any tips from you experienced cruisers to get this applied? Thanks!! UPDATE: RedTag is on the phone with Royal and they are saying they’ve never heard of this code. So frustrating! Has anyone encountered such a problem applying this to a booking before? Quote
bazingau Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 @MomtoARQI thought the terms stated that you had to book through RCCL in order to use the OBC from myvegas? I would be surprised if a TA would be able to apply it. I don't have a copy of the terms, but I recall they were pretty restrictive so we never redeemed points for it even though we have tons of points and they were available multiple times. Quote

Yes it’s supposed to be a new booking but people have had success applying it if they only booked their cruise less than a month ago. Although my travel agent just got denied using the myVEGAS code today because they said it has to be within 2 weeks and I booked 3.5 weeks ago. So it might just depend on who you get on the phone. MDabney Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 I know we are all RCCL junkies here but there are a few short (2-4 days) MSC cruises out of Miami and Port Canaveral available in your myVegas rewards now if you all are interested. Good luck, point-wise (90K-100K), they are practically giving them away. Wilson 1 Quote

MrMarc Posted October 29, 2022 Report Posted October 29, 2022 To use these rewards, call the Club Royale number (I know, most of them are gone) during regular business hours. They have, or at least had, a desk that was familiar with the MyVegas rewards that makes it a lot easier. Many of the agents have no idea what you are talking about. Quote
mistertomatohead Posted October 29, 2022 Report Posted October 29, 2022 They had a my KONAMI group cruise a few days ago I snagged. 7 days Mexico out of LA on Navigator sailing Nov 11. They will have a swag bag, raffle, breakfast and shuttle from a nearby hotel, slot tournament, shore excursion in Cabo, etc. Only 500k pts. It might be sold out because I don't see it anymore. I booked it, paid, and bought the unlimited dining package for $207+gratuities. I'm going to buy onboard credit to make it $1000 on my American Express card to get 25000 pts. The Amex offer expires 12/31/22. I'm going to get a cash refund of the OBC when onboard. If you see a reward sold out you can try checking during the daily refresh times: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/daily-myvegas-refresh-times.193384/ Quote

mistertomatohead Posted November 1, 2022 Report Posted November 1, 2022 I bought $600 OBC through the gifts department via phone call and got the AMEX email confirming I've used the offer. Before getting there I was on the phone with a casino person and they asked if it was with a rewards credit card. They were trying to hint at something but didn't go right out and say it. I didn't even get the chance to answer before they just said oh you just want onboard credit. Anyways, this is my second time doing it with Royal. Take advantage of it while you still can. Quote
Jack805 Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Just noticed MyVegas T&C changed from before and now state only 2 redemptions for Royal Caribbean rewards within a rolling 180-day period. So now I'll have to be a bit more judicious in my reward selection... Quote
