I feel your pain. 

Im just waiting to see if my Royal Up bid was accepted, or not. Im 46 days out....have everything done, even my shopping......it SUCKS. lol

It is actually worse because of this blog. I log on almost every day and I get more and more jealous as people live blog their cruises. I feel trapped in a cycle of when is it my turn.

So relatable! In the past right thru the last few weeks I was checking to see if my Royal up was accepted or if my GTY cabin was assigned. I  have neither of those things happening so really I open the Planner... and that's it. Nothing to "do"!
My husband wanted to wait to take his reward cruise in December and I told him I couldn't take it, we had to go sooner!

More cruises.
Bucket list destinations come with bigger price tags.  I'd rather experience two special bucket list destinations rather than just one in my lifetime (or every 5 years).
Balconies are great, make no mistake, but once you step into the hall your cabin type is irrelevant.  Once you are off the ship even more so.  To experience a destination you take an excursion or tour.  By saving money on cabin type I can take over the top excursions and really experience a destination.
Suites are really great too.  Cruise once every 5 years in a suite, once every two years in a balcony or twice a year in interior?   
My fondest cruise memories don't generally involve my cabin.  

Balcony for sure!  We have only had an interior on our first cruise and it was so dark and we felt like we had to go out in the hall to change our minds ?.  Anytime we are in our cabin then I will be on the balcony for a big chunk of it.

I would say it's about a quarter obtrusive ?

I’ve never found obstructed view to be that bad. Almost all the time it means you can’t look directly down because a life boat is there. 

Hard to say what that percentage really means. On an interior cabin for a May sailing, which by definition would be 100% obstructed, the receipt shows it as 0% obstructed view.

I just called and received a $223 price reduction for this cruise!   I check every week to see if there has been a rate change and eureka!  The sales agent kept saying but you're going to lose your $75 OBC!  So what?  My fare was reduced by $223.00!   And that's money I can use anyway I choose, not just on board.  Whoopie!?

I have a basic route and stops already planned out. Yes, 400+ days out! ?

We'll see what happens. I'm trying to be more spontaneous, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

Buy a day pass for the vaporetto and use them like a hop on hop off bus. Go out to Murano and Burano if you have time. Eat pizza and gelato. Visit St Marks but don’t eat or drink in the square. Walk a few streets back. There is a department store near Rialto bridge which has a roof terrace you can visit for free. Views over Venice are outstanding, prices in the shop extortionate. Make sure you are on deck for the sail away. If you are lucky one of the staff will be on the bridge pointing out the names of the different churches and famous buildings that you are passing. It’s the best sail-in or out you will ever experience. We are lucky enough to have done it several times and I get choked up with emotion every time. I just love the place and I hope you will to.

inside room for 2 of course....seeing as 12/14 cruises have been inside rooms(other 2 were ocenview)  I have no issues with it either way...and balcony's usually are triple the cost of the inside rooms on cruises I have done..so its  a no brainer...

Hubby and me are trying to average two a year if possible, inside cabins. More money to spend on DX drink package and maybe an excursion. We feel like we're never in our room except to shower. Half the time I'm sleeping poolside or beachside Cococay so I don't even sleep much in the cabin itself lol! 

2 is always better than 1 in our opinion. We had a balcony on our last cruise and rarely used it. Some people do and others do not, depends on each person's preferences. We are hardly in the cabin so it makes no difference to us. Until you reach the highest level of C&A points, the perks are minimal. We go for the relaxation and together time away from life at home.

Definitely more cruises. I'd be happy with crew quarters if it meant deluxe drink package and UDP at no cost.

Two cruises in an inside.  Of course balcony rooms are better but we make do in an inside and would prefer to cruise more often. There are so many things to enjoy on the ship that th room is less important to us. And 1 year wait us a long wait.
