But is there an agent there later in the evening? We might not land until close to 10pm now 😕

It should still be manned I think.  I arrived a little after 9 and they were there.  It's United's policy to make every effort to report any lost baggage issues to the same office prior to leaving the airport if at all possible, so I would hope they have someone there as long as flights are arriving.  You can also contact the United baggage recovery office at 1-800-335-2247, but that's a national line, not MCO specific.

On the checked bag front. It looks like our bags have caught a non-stop flight to MCO even though we could not. Not sure where we are supposed to find these once we land in Orlando. Any ideas anyone?

This happened to me earlier this month at MCO.  I had a nonstop, but they put my bags on a nonstop that left an hour sooner than mine for some reason?  Anyhow, as @Ampurp85 said, just go down to the baggage claim area, each airline has a counter with an agent that'll ask to see your claim tags, then find it in a roped off area with all of the bags that beat their owners.  I was in and out in under 5 minutes.

IF there were indeed no balconies available aboard why would they add that category???

Royal Up regularly offer the opportunity to bid on categories that aren't currently available so they're ready to cash in on any last minute (up to and including day of) cancelations and no-shows.  That's why and how people get RUs accepted the day of their cruise, and sometimes even after they've already boarded!  In other words, seeing a category available for bid in Royal Up is in no away indicator that that class cabin is currently available.

What is a good beach/ day club in grand caymans? Heard of 7 mile beach and governors beach but I would like recommendations from people who have actually been to a good off the ship activity

I know it's not quite you asked, but if you've never done it, I highly suggest doing Stingray City while in Grand Cayman.  Is it touristy as all get out?  You bet.  But it's also incredibly cool to be standing out in the ocean with no land in sight while feeding and snorkeling with stingrays as far as the eye can see.  It's been a hot minute, but the last time I went to Grand Cayman there were several excursions that combined a trip out to Stingray City then time at a beach club offered both through RCI and independent vendors.  We went out on the boats early then spent the late morning/early afternoon on 7 Mile Beach and were dropped off at the tender dock at the end of the day.  Loved every minute of it.

  5. Sorry for the potential hijack, but wanted to ask a related question.  I see a few recommendations for Rony's tours & Getaway tours, has anyone used Victor Bodden tours?  They have a private tour that is 100% what we're looking for, but I'm sure we could custom-build it at either of the suggested vendors if need be.  Just looking for a potential comparison if anyone had one.

Hello. Sorry if this was asked before, but it seems like I'm getting different answers. If you purchase the DBP do you also get the souvenir cup for the Freestyle vending machines for the Oasis ships? Even the RC website has conflicting information. That would be disappointing if not, you would think that "deluxe" covers all the other benefits of beverage packages. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you do!  There are generally stations set up as soon as you embark the ship with crew members selling different beverage packages.  You will see hundreds of the Freestyle Cups at one of these stations, just show them your Set Sail pass with the beverage package indicated on it, and you'll be able to grab them and be on your way!

If you order a “backup certificate” in the province he was born in, it invalidates the previous one. Strangest thing to this American, where we can order all the certified copies we want. 😂 So, depending on the country, you can’t have an extra copy on hand.

Okay, stupid question, but how would a non-governmental agency possibly know if you were holding an older copy of your Canadian birth certificate if there was a newer one issued?  To the best of my knowledge, the cruise line simply compares the information on the form with your ID, they don't contact the issuing agency to confirm while you're checking in at the pier or anything.  Not encouraging anyone to do this, just genuinely curious.

We are asking to determine if we should schedule a super early breakfast or because we have these reservations we can take a bit more time to eat first and then head to the island. Any thoughts?

I would go for an early breakfast to get out early and make the most of the day on the island. The day goes by so fast.

I'd go one step further and say skip breakfast on the ship entirely and have it on the beach at the Beach Club and make your lunch reservation early.  Before you take my suggestion, I'd double-check with someone who has been there more recently, but last summer they had some continental breakfast items (muffins, pastries, etc.) and fresh coffee available for self-serve at the restaurant  "lobby" area.  Unless you're the type who need a big hearty breakfast, I'd just enjoy some light fare under a palapa with some fresh coffee or a mimosa and enjoy the Beach Club for every moment that you can.  @CanHardlyWait and @JimnKathy are right, you're going to want to spend as much time there as possible, and the day goes amazingly fast!

Everybody has covered most of your questions but I wanted to offer one thing that may save you some money.  You state you and your mom will each have the internet package.  Did you mean you are buying a 1 device package for each of you?  If so, it will almost certainly be cheaper to buy one 2 device package and share.  (Or if you're bringing more than 1  device each, buy the appropriate size package).  There's no benefit to multiple packages.

They're in a CLS, so I believe Voom will be complementary.

We sailed from NJ in June. For the first time in many years of sailing from this port, we were not able to park in the garage and were directed to a lot across from the terminal. We still paid at the box at the end of our cruise, same as when we park in the garage.

I actually liked the lot parking better, surprisingly. It was much quicker getting to our vehicle and leaving. But the car was DIRTY.

We had the exact same experience parking in the lot when we sailed out of Cape Liberty last summer.  We definitely paid at the box afterwards, and getting in and out was exceptionally easy.
