Ok, sure I'm still buzzed from the amazing drinks from Maya Chan today.  But I am blown away by the place.  If you want fancy, elegant, pretentious or even picturesque then Maya Chan might not be for you.  If you want private, fun, great food, great drinks, a place that will really make you feel like you are part of the family except the will wait on you hand and foot and you don't have to do the dishes, you need to try this place.  If you can't tell, they blew me away with the vibe and service.  Costa Maya has never been an interesting port to me, now it is one of my favorites.  I have been to much more upscale places with great service.  But from the moment you find their spot at the port (which is admittedly not easy) they make you feel special, important and welcome.  Basically, if your ship ever stops at Costa Maya, go to Maya Chan.

I wonder if they could book with their name and your name as the 2nd guest, then switch their name out to your other person? Technically one person from the original reservation would remain on the booking...

Just heard that I was upgrade from a junior suite to a Grand suite - 1 bedroom for $200 total. I can't wait for my hubby to see this. Next cruise here I come on Jewel of the Seas.

It is fixed.  I decided if we didn't get it when the rep was trying to change it over, then the others would have to find something else to do too, because I wasn't going to have one grandchild standing there watching the other grandchildren take off on the Jet Ski's. I was very nervous as I saw it pop up as one spot available, but the rep quickly grabbed it and rebooked for my granddaughter and at the black Friday sale price!  I greatly appreciate the young lady that finally got it fixed for me.  Thank you!  I'm sure tired and could use a vacation after all this. 🚢 🏝️ 😎

We felt scammed on a Royal excursion in Freeport this past June 2021. It was so bad, everyone was complaining. I went to the Customer Service desk later that evening and explained the circumstances, they credited my OBC account 50% of the cost of the trip. I felt it was a nice gesture and then put in writing the issues so the excursion team could possibly re-visit the offering. I felt Royal did "right" by us for this one. It was so bad.....

This is the fine print I have on my listing for the coffee card:
"Beverage selection is limited to those described in the package details and in Cruise Planner and is subject to change without notice. Package is valid only for the sailing for which it was purchased and is non-transferable. "
And, technically the coffee card is listed under the Non-Alcoholic Beverage Packages section, so it is considered a package. My take is that the default rule is that it is non-transferable between sailings, but it is up to each ship's beverage department on whether they want to enforce it. It would seem the staff on Jewel is.

The refreshment package on my April sailing also dropped to $17 for the Black Friday sale.

Saved a whopping $6pp on a St. Lucia excursion, and $80 on a Labadee beach bungalow. Otherwise all the other excursions reverted to the prices they were before they were jacked up in anticipation of the "sale."
Refreshment package is down though from $23 to $17 which makes it rather tempting!

Not sure why you cant see the cancel option but I would advise you to just call them at 1 (800) 398-9819, they canceled and rebooked all my excursions for me at the lower prices. I saved so much money that I was able to purchase another exciting excursion at Cocoday!

We did a different Chichen Itza excursion, and yes, the time at the actual site is very limited. The bulk of the duration is transportation. We chose to still do the excursion because we knew this might be our only chance to visit. If you do opt to go, I would stick with an RC excursion for the security of knowing that you won't be on your own should the tour run late and potentially miss ship departure time. If I recall, there wasn't much of a buffer between the time the excursion was scheduled to return and when the ship left port  - maybe only an hour or so.

update:  I called my TA today, and explained that I had seen your note above circulated before.  Since he had to call Royal to initiate the cancellation, i told him to specifically mention that the "protocols were finally announced" and that the client isn't OK with them, blah blah blah.
result:  FULL REFUND!  Said the Royal agent just "entered some authorization code" and it'll be credited back to my AMEX in 30-45 days.  Even though I knew months ago I wasn't going to sail on this, I think waiting until the health protocols were issued definitely helped my case in this instance.

About came unglued and after 5 hours spinning my wheels. Finally got to a supervisor . Less than 10 minutes to redo everything and do it right this time. Finally every bookin I have paid in full and no more FCC floating around...

This is what my daughter and son-n-law does but it is for the UBP for SNL not the wine.  My daughter just likes the soda package so they didn't want to buy the refreshment package.  They don't have to sleep there but gets an extra room key. 

Pro tip: some parents turn the couch around so it faces the wall and add sheets. Then there are nice walls on both sides and much bigger than Pack and Play. This family also put up an extra black out curtain with magnets…
