Non-refundable booking will be a FCC.
For example, if you had a $250/person deposit, when you make the change you will get an FCC for $150/person.

I also found that you could just pay for the chat function on the app, we didn't purchase an internet package on our most recent sailing and we were both able to use the chat feature just fine on the ship. AND I wasn't limited to chatting with only my hubby, as we made friends on the ship we added them to the chat, so we could communicate that way as well to make plans to meet up for late night drinks, etc.

As suggested above, he sent the original information with the card for the booster shot. Just happy it worked!

First, this is a private company impacting another private company. Space launches are cool, but far from the end of the world to have to push back what has become a routine operation.
Second, cruise ships don't go and do whatever they want in port. The port and US Coast Guard approves departures. More importantly, ships have the harbor pilot onboard to navigate the port area until a ship gets out to the open ocean.
Cruise ship isn't to "blame". It's the port and coast guard who didn't direct the ship properly and/or time the departure properly.

If you see it at a price point you can live with, I highly recommend coming here.
We cruise as cheap as possible and don’t really do extras at all, but on the advice of some friends, we booked the Beach Club Day Pass when the price was around $80 pp. We have zero regrets.
This is our fifth time at CocoCay and first at the Beach Club. The experience is awesome, the food even better
As cheap as we are, we’ve decided that we’ll be coming here again
Thanks to reading about the experience right here on RCB, we knew enough to get off the ship early and snag a day bed by the pool. A big thank you to those who shared that tidbit.

Could he just write in the information from his 2nd shot on to the physical card he got for the booster? I forgot my card when I got the booster, so they gave me a new card and put the booster info on the 3rd line, so in theory I could have re-written the info from the 1st two shots. (in actuality I copied the booster info to the original card since that was less writing)

Thank you ALL soo much for the help. I used Matts advise. reserved our drinks at $56/day/person AND TODAY, 23 days to go, it dropped to 30%off and I cancelled the order and bought for $52/day/person.
And on a side note, Mary and I will be married on 2/22/22, in Cozumel MX and will be swimming with the dolphins. We had custom made Life Jackets, hers in white with a veil attached, and mine is black with Tux Tails attached to the back and a bow tie.. Should have some fantastic photos.
Thank you again.

KJones got a reaction from stevendom57 in Onboard Covid Counts
Also to consider, occupancy tends to be higher in the summer months when families are traveling during summer break, thus potentially a higher exposure rate. Even before covid, I preferred to not sail in summer months for this reason.

KJones reacted to AlmondFarmer in Port or Starboard ?
An expensive option is to book a room on each side of the ship and then spend time in each port in the room facing land.
Just a thought.

I got really lucky. About a month before or Thanksgiving Navigator cruise the DBP dropped to $44/day and $49/day with Zoom.

KJones reacted to D Alt in Holy Carp! I got upgraded to a GS!
I got notified of a charge on my Amex card today and I was wondering what the hell was this because I paid off everything Royal Caribbean…. and then find an email that my royal up bid was accepted for my move from a balcony to a grand suite... a grand suite! How awesome is that?!! A grand suite for a solo person.
OK so what do I need to know?

Yes you can, but be careful. Your waiter if he knows you like something is likely to send double😁

KJones got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Questions from an international traveller :)
I would opt for travel insurance for a trip of this length and expense, but I would not get the policy(s) offered by Royal, which tend to be less comprehensive. I usually go with Allianz, though I don't know if they also serve international customers.

IMHO, $7,000 can pay for quite a few once-in-a-lifetime shore excursions. Easy decision for me to give up some walking around room to go do some things I may never have the opportunity to do again, but everyone's priorities are different!

If it's on your cruise planner, then it will be valid for your sailing. Sometimes (up to the discretion of staff onboard) it can also be used on other sailings if you have drinks left over. Whether one punch equals one beverage or one shot of espresso also seems to be at the discretion of staff - i.e. a beverage with a double shot of espresso might count as 2 punches, even though it's only a single drink.

Way to take one for the team! Positive side is you can get a true refund now and not deal with FCC!

KJones reacted to rjac in Arrival into town same day as embarkation?
Have you thought about weather conditions? Snow could REALLY screw up yours best plans out of DC on your embarkation day, regardless of your check in time. If it were me, I would take the flight that got me into your port around midnight, check into a hotel with a beach, get a good night sleep, enjoy the beach and then head off to your cruise ship. That way you will be well rested, stress free (hopefully) and pre-sun screened before boarding. Best wishes and hope it all works out for the best! 😎

Was your cruise booked before the protocols were established? If it was, that would make a strong argument for a full cash refund. I've cancelled three so far, all booked prior to protocols, and have received cash refunds.

Or on a sailing departing before one year after the original sail date.

KJones reacted to Atlantix2000 in Least expensive connectivity?
You probably don't want to use the Verizon cruise package, you want Verizon's TravelPass service. It costs $5 or $10 per day where each day is a 24 hour period. You need to activate it before you leave (I think you have to call), then when you connect to cell service in an international country, you get a text from Verizon asking if you want to use TravelPass instead of international roaming. Respond yes and for the next 24 hours, they extend your normal phone/data service plan to cover you internationally. That includes unlimited data if that's the type of plan you have. The best part is it doesn't matter if you change countries during that 24 hours! So you could activate it in Antigua at 2PM and use it in St. Lucia the next morning.
TravelPass doesn't work while at sea so Voom is still the best choice there. On most Caribbean itineraries, you spend more time in port than at sea so I've been able to use TravelPass without Voom and only needed to use it every other day if I'm careful.

KJones got a reaction from CruiseGus in Will RC cancel if passenger counts are too low?
I would imagine RC would lose money by canceling. They're still on the hook for staff wages, with no chance for extra income from onboard purchases. Plus they would have to refund all the fares already paid.

KJones got a reaction from 14Terry in RC excursions - what to bring - Roatan - local currency
I wouldn't bother with local currencies at Caribbean ports - US dollars are accepted pretty much everywhere, and is sometimes preferred by local vendors.
