  1. This was the first of 3 cruises that hubby and I booked while on our last one. We knew we wanted an itinerary that originated in NOLA, and here we are! Sail away down the Mississippi is an awesome experience. Who else is joining us? Cheers! Kyra
  2. Hubby and I booked this one recently as part of our now annual Spring Vacation. We plan to tack on a few days before to explore his old neighborhoods in the San Bernardino area of Cali. The cruise is a bonus part of that trip See you on the ship!
  3. GC is on my someday list as well, just so I can also officially "go to Hell" for real I would totally think a Christmas ornament is appropriate, but I have a skewed sense of humor that way. Looking forward to your blog and living vicariously through your trip! Cheers!
  4. Late Like From the hotel travel I do for work, I am fine with the once a day, but on a ship we are in and out of the room a few times during the day, and we keep our room fairly picked up and organized, but I think with the late refresh would nice to have a clean and tidied space to come back to after dinner and night time activities, just so I don't have to do so much before we fall into bed..lol
  5. Thanks for your review and ideas on what to do on the islands, my hubby and I are on this ship and itinerary in April!
  6. Thanks for posting info about this. I was kinda clueless about the need for ArriveCAN for our Alaska cruise in Sept and since we are departing out of Vancouver, we will need to complete this for our flights anyway. I have now shared it with our travel companions as well to make sure we are all prepared for it.
  7. I also found that you could just pay for the chat function on the app, we didn't purchase an internet package on our most recent sailing and we were both able to use the chat feature just fine on the ship. AND I wasn't limited to chatting with only my hubby, as we made friends on the ship we added them to the chat, so we could communicate that way as well to make plans to meet up for late night drinks, etc.
  8. This is very similar to our plans for our Alaska trip later this year, I have planned a couple of days for a fishing charter out of Seward after our cruise ends there with an company that my family has been using for years, it will be my hubby's first time for that and then we will be taking the train back to Anchorage as well to fly home from there.
  9. I had the same issue today when Hubby and I were taking our tests, the proctor recommended that to prevent any issues with acceptance of the test, since it's for travel purposes, that I add my middle name in since that is what is on both of my IDs. Wasn't a huge deal to go back in and update that in the Navica app. But I agree, I have done so much research and reading about the tests over the past few weeks that I hadn't seen this mentioned before as something to be aware of and wonder now if their training has changed or if there were issues that were being reported by enough people to have that now included in the verification process. And I am happy to report a negative result! so our sailing on Freedom OTS on 1/24 is a go!! Finally got my bags packed and we are on the red eye to Miami tonight!
  10. Been a minute since I have cruised, and it's hubby's first time! Can't wait! Freedom of the Seas, January 24, 2022
