bcarney Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 This photo was posted in the Royal Caribbean Dining Facebook group by Joel Alderman today from Independence of the Seas. The image pretty much sums up the devolution of dining quality in the main dining room (and it also explains why I now ask for the off-menu Indian food). Quote

BrianAlt Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 I was on Independence in July and ate in the MDR several times. Food never looked like this. But maybe I was more careful about what I ordered? Quote

Matt Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 To be fair, we don't know what dish it is, if it is a kids dish, or if they asked for it to be served like that. RobWhatley, mamabdw, NS8VN and 1 other 4 Quote

jticarruthers Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 Judging by the description on the original post of "chicken cordon bleu", coupled with scrolling back through the posters' other posts to find the menu for the day featuring "chicken cordon bleu" .... I would conclude this is in fact the "chicken cordon bleu" ordered off the MDR menu. That would make this : Ham and cheese filled breaded chicken, rice-peas pilaf, seasonal vegetables and something unreadable on my menu copy Updated: Found a legible copy .. that should be lingonberry relish :) Quote

Wow that looks awful , we have been on the Indy 3 times and never had any food that looks as unappetizing as the above and i have to say if that was served to me it would be going straight back. CMON RC you are a quality cruise line not a cross channel ferry. Quote

DocLC Posted August 17, 2017 Report Posted August 17, 2017 While I think there should be a sauce or some type of garnish, I don't think it looks that bad. If eat it. Maybe pedestrian, but still edible. BillHoo 1 Quote
