After being a long time reader and an avid viewer of Matt's youtube channel, i decided to make an account!
Octavio here, from Argentina! Started cruising back in 2006 when i was only 14 y/o! After that moment i couldnt stop. 
Im currently 29 with 20 cruises done so far and 165 points, so getting really close to Diamond plus!
 
Did 2 cruises with my fiance since the covid restart, Odyssey (3rd sailiing right after it restarted, with an insanely low capacity) and Symphony. 
Booked Oasis from Cape Liberty (October 2nd..so close yet so far) to receive my 30th birthday - couple trip. And also Harmony on new years eve (Family cruise!)
Im so glad to be here, Carla and myself love cruising and our goal is to hit Diamond plus asap, and slowly grind them Pinnacle points!

90% sure a Vision Class ship can fit?  OR  Only 90% of the ship will fit in the port like an old Cadillac too long to close the garage door? 😄

There are no implications or benefits for reaching a higher rank ,other than it just lets others know that you spend far too much time on the blog and type way too much (Hello, me).  The "rank" (i.e. gold, platnum, emerald, etc) rise strictly on the number of posts.  I believe reputation has to do with the number of your posts that are "liked" or to which there is a reaction (balanced by how many warnings you get, which are extremely rare).  As far as a page that actually states this, I haven't seen one.

I typically find the cruise planner sales happen about every 3-4 weeks so yes, I am expecting one for Memorial weekend since the last one was very early May.  The thing I have not seen in recent sales is truly great prices!!  It seems (in recent months) right before a sale the prices get “jacked” up so when the sale occurs the price is still not really cheap!  
Yes, I know inflation has hit us all very hard so I suppose we can’t expect those wonderful prices from a few years ago!  Sad…but at least we are all in this together!

The promo did change, although I am not sure this is it all positive since there’s been some troubles with the casino bookings and NEXT CRUISE (and  if they don’t allow for the open booking option, it would be extremely difficult for some people {including us} to book within the narrow window of a single sailing or to know for whom we might want to book).

He and my nephew missed our 3/13 cruise because a storm going up the east coast stopped all flights to Florida or anywhere near, from Boston, Providence, Manchester & Bradley for 2 days.  There was no way, on no airline to get down there.

The channel alongside the cruise terminal is also used by container ships to pass by and dock further up. There are docking stations with gantry cranes for several container ships and they’re usually busy. Several times I have been aboard the docked Anthem pre-cruise when a container ship passed by and it seemed pretty close. I can imagine how the width of the Oasis can really narrow that space…making it necessary to move for a large container ship. I guess scheduling hit a little snag.

Even if the country was reopened for US visitors it's unlikely we'll see cruise ships ever return until a new terminal facility is built from scratch.

Grand Cayman is known for three things:

A tourist trap called “hell” so you can say you went there. 

I hope that this leads to allowing crew who want to do so to remove their masks on board.
