The question is, If Royal Caribbean implemented the Royal Promise protocols on ships restarting from the United States, would you actually go on a cruise with these restrictions in place?

    No.

I am, however, looking forward to a fully vaccinated NCL cruise in four months:

  2. Good morning all.

Is there any way to know if an upcoming cruise has been partially chartered by a large group? Six years ago, halfway through my vacation at a Mexico resort, it was transformed into a "theme" resort. It was the worst vacation experience I've had to date, and I would not like to repeat it.

    Thanks.

  3. Good afternoon all.

I have three Royal cruises booked for 2022, the first is in January. Does it make sense to pay the final balance early in case it gets cancelled so I can get the 120% credit and apply that to one of my other cruises?

Obviously, I hope none of them are cancelled!  Thoughts?

i just dont know how you can require a Vaccine to cruise, no other vacation spot does this

No other vacation spot can abruptly end your vacation because of an outbreak:

"If a certain threshold level of COVID-19 is detected onboard the ship during your voyage, the voyage will end immediately, the ship will return to the port of embarkation, and your subsequent travel, including your return home, may be restricted or delayed."

  5. I'm relatively new to cruising, but am completely hooked. I've only ever sailed on Royal and Celebrity, and have my first Norwegian cruise booked for October 2021.

What I'm looking for is opinions on Carnival Cruises. Their prices and itineraries look attractive, but I remember how my wife and I were on a tour bus in Curacao with mostly Carnival passengers and we ran off the bus because it was like a bad day at Walmart.

Have any of you been on a Carnival cruise and how bad is it really?

    Thanks.

  6. Booking a cruise on Royal Caribbean's website is clunky...at best.

    • Instead of just showing all available cabins and clicking on them to see a price, you need to click a category, then a section and then you see available cabins!
    • When I sign into my account, I shouldn't be required to re-enter my name, address, etc. That should be pre-populated!
    • Please add a courtesy hold option while booking. (Norwegian has this and I've used it several times.)
    • If I need to cancel a booking, let me do it online instead of calling. (Celebrity does!)

Bottom line, Norwegian's and Carnival's websites are much more user-friendly than Royal Caribbean's.
