  1. It's possible for vaccinated people to contract the virus, but it's also possible to fake vaccination cards if you're not vaccinated.
  2. Between home ports and vaccine requirements, you can't really count any anything Royal says because it will change next week. Seems like they're kissing Florida's butt here...at least for now. Make a policy and stick to it.
  3. I wonder how many formal nights on that cruise. 14 days??? There's going to be some serious sunburns.
  4. Good morning all. Is there any way to know if an upcoming cruise has been partially chartered by a large group? Six years ago, halfway through my vacation at a Mexico resort, it was transformed into a "theme" resort. It was the worst vacation experience I've had to date, and I would not like to repeat it. Thanks.
  5. Norwegian Jade, October 2021, 7 day Greece cruise from Athens (God willing)
  6. My question has been sufficiently answered, thanks. None of my future cruises leave from Florida.
  7. Good afternoon all. I have three Royal cruises booked for 2022, the first is in January. Does it make sense to pay the final balance early in case it gets cancelled so I can get the 120% credit and apply that to one of my other cruises? Obviously, I hope none of them are cancelled! Thoughts?
  8. Thank God for the vaccine and for the opportunity to cruise once again!
  9. Full day tour of Vatican and Rome including inside access to the Coloseum. Not cheap, but it was awesome!
  10. No other vacation spot can abruptly end your vacation because of an outbreak: "If a certain threshold level of COVID-19 is detected onboard the ship during your voyage, the voyage will end immediately, the ship will return to the port of embarkation, and your subsequent travel, including your return home, may be restricted or delayed."
  11. The more people that get vaccinated, the faster we can get back to discussing cruises in this forum.
  12. Taking photos of someone's spouse/partner while swimming is a good way to get your butt kicked. Just sayin'.
  13. "US cruises could restart soon with 'passenger voyages by mid-July,' CDC says" Yeah, but...mid-July of what year?!
  14. We all know that internet connections while at sea can be notoriously unreliable. ?
  15. Who is going to enforce all the onerous "requirements" while on the ship? The same folks who enforce the "don't hog lounge chair" rules???
  16. I'm relatively new to cruising, but am completely hooked. I've only ever sailed on Royal and Celebrity, and have my first Norwegian cruise booked for October 2021. What I'm looking for is opinions on Carnival Cruises. Their prices and itineraries look attractive, but I remember how my wife and I were on a tour bus in Curacao with mostly Carnival passengers and we ran off the bus because it was like a bad day at Walmart. Have any of you been on a Carnival cruise and how bad is it really? Thanks.
  17. It's a review of cruiseline websites only. Leaving Royal Caribbean (& Celebrity) off the list is not a shocker.
  18. The experts agree with us: https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=4139
  19. Booking a cruise on Royal Caribbean's website is clunky...at best. Instead of just showing all available cabins and clicking on them to see a price, you need to click a category, then a section and then you see available cabins! When I sign into my account, I shouldn't be required to re-enter my name, address, etc. That should be pre-populated! Please add a courtesy hold option while booking. (Norwegian has this and I've used it several times.) If I need to cancel a booking, let me do it online instead of calling. (Celebrity does!) Bottom line, Norwegian's and Carnival's websites are much more user-friendly than Royal Caribbean's.
  20. That's all good, but see my original question please.
