Good news...RC canceled our booking by accident. So thankfully it isn't a booted situation. Bummer for me, I have to go rebook all our planner stuff. Fingers crossed I get the same pricing.

My guess on how the booting will happen:
Royal announces itineraries in mid October.  They are different than currently scheduled so everyone is canceled. When people rebook, Royal can shut down the process when they get the desired results.

I think it depends where you live, there is a walk in clinic down the street from my work that does the tests with results in 10-15 minutes, you make an appt , pull up in your car, they come out, give you the test.. then you wait in your car and the walk out minutes later with the results.

If every country but the United States is doing something, I think it's fair to call it "common" sense.  The rest of the world gets it, we don't.
The science keeps changing because we are learning more about the virus.  It's not some nefarious scheme to keep you off a cruise ship.

Can someone please explain how this works?  Can I schedule lunches on sea days?  Dinners get scheduled ahead of time?  Can I eat at multiple locations in a night?  Johnny Rockets included?

I think the app is in limbo since there are no cruise directors loading content. 

You might need to update your app. You should still see all of the correct info in the browser based cruise planner.
Edit: actually maybe don't do that. I can't see mine anymore either, and this is recent feedback from RCI in the app store.

having read this thread that is less than a day old, and digesting some of the opinions expressed as well as observing some of the actions in my community, I can easily see why we in the USA have the highest infection rate in the world. 
Which is to bad because we definitely won't be returning to cruising until that rate is much lower and somewhat under control.  I so want to cruise, but I want to do it safely with very low risk.

The best part is, these people are stepping onto foreign vessels and going to countries where being American doesn't make you special 

O ye, of little faith'? ....... I'm still optimistic we'll get this thing under control. Over the last week, all the metrics involving COVID are downward trending, some of them steeply. FL is looking good - keep it up. There's also a good deal of testing technology coming down the road that could help stop community spread and make the US look more like South Korea. There's at least 3 vaccines one of which will likely see initial distribution by December 2020. I posted this in a little used Celebrity & Azamar thread in response to similar concerns about the resumption of cruising:
 I think this thinking about rapid, point of care (POC) testing and canning the current CDC's/FDA's testing strategy that has failed, and how rapid POC testing can be used to obtain containment is important. I'm writing my state legislators about it.  recommend readers/posters here do the same. Spread the word.

I wouldn’t care if nobody was tested. I don’t believe any company should be able to force any person to do any type of medical test or procedure. If there was cruising this entire time and no test being done I would still be on the ship. I believe if you are the one that is afraid and wants everyone else to be tested, maybe you shouldn’t be on the ship to begin with. Besides, someone could test negative to get on and the next day have it, so what good does the test do anyways???
