I know everyone makes their own decision but interested what people sailing mid april are thinking.

I really have no fear of getting it but the quarantine idea scares me. And worrying my daughters school maybe gets freaked out when we come back and force her to quarantine. And I dont look forward to the judgemental looks from friends or coworkers. It's just a flu...and I'm a healthcare worker watching our hospital turn to panic mode and im still not worried. I got H1N1 when it went around and am very much here to tell the tale. Everyone on the ships say it's totally fine and I trust that....just wish it fixed itself. Like either cancel them all or continue with business as usual.

My wife is an RN, and we have discussed this with our group, at length. We are sailing on April 04 and, to quote her, "theres no way we are canceling." Thats not to say she/we feel that everyone should have such an attitude toward it.  If you have a compromised immune system, respiratory issues, and are of advanced age....you should have concerns, just as you should have been concerned of other potential risks. For us, in our 40s, in good health....and our children, also in good health, we have little concern of the actual virus.  We have more concern over peoples reaction to it resulting in missed ports (if that happens, oh well) or someone coming down with norovirus or influenza and it resulting in a quarantine (inconvenient at worst).

My heart does go out to those affected and losing loved ones, same as it does for anyone losing someone for any reason.

We will be boarding the Oasis shortly, and have noticed on the app that Jamaica has been replaced on our itinerary with Costa Maya.  I assume we will be officially notified once onboard. Flexibility is key currently! Just as long as they keep the casino and bars open....??

At this point, I have prepared my family for the possibility that we may end up with a different itinerary. We booked our cruise FOR the itinerary. ? Eh....it's life. Outta my control. I second that as long as the bars are open....I'm good. Enjoy Costa Maya, and the rest of your cruise!

Hello All,  we are headed out on HOS in May 2020 and I have been working on or activity calendar with entertainment and activities.  My question is when, or where, can I find the schedule for the different fitness classes that are offered?  I am looking to sign up for one of the fitness packages, but would like to know and schedule different classes. Thank you!!

Hard to say 100% as I'm sailing in 28 days and still don't have a full schedule on the app. I suppose you could look in the Cruise Compass section for the most recent sailing on HOS with a similar itinerary and get a good estimate.

You have me "pegged"... I am a data zealot.  Let me have a weekend ( of dancing, a woman and songs ) and I will determine the best way to put out a call to those who thirst for the knowledge that the sciences, math and data brings.

Perfect! I figured you for being up for a data challenge! ?

We cruised on Rhapsody out of Tampa Thanksgiving week 2019 and had a wonderful time. We have booked again for Thanksgiving 2020 on Rhapsody out of Tampa. The itinerary is slightly different, but I think our re-booking demonstrates what a good time we had. Even on the smaller ship, we love the relaxation of cruising so much that sea days are our favorite days!

I ended up booking her, purely because it was the only RCCL ship going to Roatan (my wife is from Honduras) the week before Easter ( kids Spring Break). Hope we dont end up missing that port! ? Good to hear you enjoyed it, and shes a good ship.  Like @Matt says, I doubt seriously I would find a "bad" ship in the fleet (in my opinion).

  6. @nova_gal I posses no ORIGINAL wisdom in regards to cruising. Im preparing to take my 6th cruise a month from today, and this will be my 1st after having discovered this forum/message board.  IT WAS A GAME CHANGER and I cant tell you how prepared I feel for my cruise. I, now, feel like I did every previous cruise by the seat of my pants, and cruised like a savage. It never occurred to me to have the continental breakfast appetizers every morning, either. But once I read about it on here.....BOOM. Done. The people here are amazing, and I too am eternally grateful for them.

Well I will not be joining the Oasis today and will have to wait a week for my three weeks on her.  I have nothing to be disappointed of as I am lucky enough to have this chance to be on a ship this long.

Ive never been anywhere that long. Not vacation, not business, not HOME. Kudos to you. Enjoy it! Interested to read about it.

One bid says pending and one bid lets me modify it or cancel it.  Just curious why one can be modified and one can't.  There must be some reason they are different.

Just a guess: They have either accepted or denied that bid, and it just hasnt processed through to you being able to see it that way.  From what Ive read, in the past, you can modify a bid up until they make a decision on it.

    Good luck!!!!

  9. I, too, have a pending offer for an Apr. 04 sailing.  I suspect that just means its "pending acceptance or denial......we will let you know". I think they wait it out, as long as possible (day or so before) and see what fills up at asking price.  I also suspect they start at the highest bids, fill rooms with bidders till theyve filled all possible rooms with people that bid on them. This is just what I would do if it was my program....
