Thanks, @Matt .  One of the first things I noticed about this board that I think is fairly unique is the fact that no new topics go unanswered.  You seem to make a real effort to help everyone.  Appreciate it.

Every storm is different.  Some have more rain, some more wind, some more surge.  Some move fast, some move slow.
If a strong storm hits there will be some damage.  Decorative panels ripped off, trees down,  roof damage,  water and sand in places where it isn't wanted, but the primary core structures should be okay.
If a big storm hits they will have to close it while they restore it.  On Jost Van Dyke the famous bars on the beach had sand up to the roof line.  They had to move massive volumes of sand and then make repairs from sand and surge damage.  The same would occur on CocoCay so while it is designed to withstand strong storms that doesn't mean they will re-open the next day without having to do anything.

My total wine has been open 5 years and the price has always been 10.97 now 11.47.  Checked other CO stores also 11.97, checked cities near LA also 11.97, checked stores outside NYC, 13.00.  Total wine is excellent for prices, my point was when one glass is 2x a bottle price (RCL volume pricing guess) it starts to look a bit suspicious.
As a comparison point RCL wants 65.00 per bottle and a prime steakhouse in Chicago (Chicago Cut) wants 45.00 for the same bottle.  if this steakhouse has a 400% markup royal is likely working with a 700 - 800% markup with the volume pricing they negotiate.
It all goes back to making the drink package prices seem "reasonable" when comparing to very unreasonable a la carte drink prices.

Once the Port closes Royal has no choice but to stay at sea.
Before the port can re-open they must survey the port and channel to verify depths and no debris.  That takes several hours.
The Captain of the Port is typically from the US Coast Guard.  They run with military protocol and precision.  They don't deviate from the plan because a cruise line wants to do something.  If the port is closed, the port is closed.
Follow the Port on twitter for updates.

We take these for the kiddies. They don't drink soda very often, if at all, they like the lemonade at in the dining rooms at meals (milk at dinner) - and we use these type of flavorings to mix it up a bit. We do get the drink package for us, and we do let the kids have a few mocktails - but we pay out of pocket for those.

USCG Teacher got a reaction from SLJ in Dune Buggy/Jeep Snorkel Tour in Cozumel
We did the jeep tour in Cozumel a NUMBER of years ago on the Enchantment, and we booked straight through RCCL.  We had an absolute blast the whole day, and the lunch on the beach was great, too.  I would say that it was definitely a top 5 trip for my wife and I.  As is the case with most of these tours, the guides themselves make or break the experience; a great guide can make a mediocre experience memorable, and a bad guide can make a great trip kind of "meh," but most of the groups that work directly with the cruise lines themselves are pretty good.  We didn't have kids at the time, so I can't comment on the car seat situation.  Sorry.  ?

We experienced the same program for a sailing to the Western Caribbean on Enchantment ages ago. I think it was out of Port Canaveral, but it may have been Miami. It was our first ever cruise, and it made everything extremely smooth and relaxed. It was a great 1st impression.

We both work two jobs, so this upcoming cruise is much needed......regardless of what deck we're on.
