I've looked at all the deck plans. None that I have found show what side of the ship the doors are on for the single row cabins are. For example 11205 through 11223. If we book 11213, we want to know if we should get 11210 or 11610 so that the doors are across the hall from each other.

    Thank you

I hadn't ever thought of this until you asked the question!  After a little digging, I found a deck plan of Quantum that shows the interior door location (indicated by the diagonal line) at https://www.seascanner.com/deckplan-quantum-of-the-seas.  In the example you gave, You'd want 11213 to pair with 11210.

Here is a screenshot of the price of a regular 7 night NB Alaskan sailing, plus 3 options of adding a cruisetour to the same sailing. (The top one is showing a price for June 18, but the June 4th sailing, which all of the rest show, is only $20 more).  These are all Radiance sailings on June 4, 2020 - so you can expect approx $600-900 added to the cost of an inside cabin for 2 passengers.

Great googly moogly, the Cruisetour prices are just listed in the "Find a Cruise" searches?!?  I'm not sure how I missed that, but I appreciate how polite you were in responding to my ignorance!  ?

  3. Can any of you wonderful cruise experts give me a general ballpark figure for how much adding a Cruisetour to an Alaskan Cruise would run?  Specifically, I'd be looking at the 10 Night Family Tundra Express (9 A/B) for a family of two adults and two children, probably in July.  Obviously I know there are way too many variables for any sort of precise costs, I'm just looking for a ballpark figure, and I appreciate the fact that the ballpark will be Dodger Stadium sized.  This lack of going anywhere all summer has me thinking about what my travel plans might look like for 2023 (not a typo), and am wondering if this is even remotely in the realm of financial possibility!

Crazy prices going on. I made some purchases when the sail was on for our hopefully May cruise on SOS. I just looked at the beach club price it went up to $150.00 per person. I purchased it for $43.00 per person. I really wonder sometimes who’s fingers are on the keyboard at Royal.

Maybe they reduced maximum capacity for mitigation purposes and that sent the algorithm all in a tizzy?  Just a guess.  Also possible that a particularly distractive squirrel ran by an intern's window...

The eternal optimist in me is still in full-tilt planning for my Ovation to Alaska cruise next June. What is the earliest recommended time to plan for a flight out of SEA post cruise?  Right now I can get a pretty good price on a flight at 11:00, but I feel like that might be pushing it.

Seeing as the industry will probably have to completely rethink the entire debarkation process once cruising resumes, I'd think that it will be impossible to estimate how long it will take to get off the ship, clear customs and make your way to the airport until a few cruises have been completed.  Even then, I'd imagine it will likely be a work in progress, with constant "tweaks" to the system.

Also if we had sailed in 2020 all 5 grandkids were 12 and under...rebooking to 2021 only 4 are considered kids and if I move to 2022 only 3 will be "kids"!!  Ughhhh this is getting complicated!

My memory is failing me in my old(ish) age, but I know someone on the boards was in a similar situation where their kid was 12 on the original booking and 13 on the L&S date, and they still price protected it at the child rate.  I just can't remember who it was to confirm for you. ☹️

I prefer the "Unofficial Breakfast Sandwich of NJ" -- smoked salmon (ideally belly lox), cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers. Personal preference is on a poppy seed bagel, but just about any standard (proper) bagel variety works with that.

An excellent choice as well. ?  I hate raw onions, so I hold the red onion, but have it on an onion bagel...

No specific recommendation from experience, but when in Jersey, look for Jersey Diners. I know that they are a dying breed, but they still do exist.  Look for 24/7 (before the pandemic) joints. Two that pop up on a quick search are the Broadway Diner and the Liberty Diner. I would suggest this over IHOP.

As a long-time Jersey resident, I couldn't agree with this sentiment any more if I tried!  I have no idea how IHOPs even survive here to be perfectly honest (but they do, so they must be doing something right!).  As an aside, the Liberty Diner that shows up in a local search for Elizabeth is probably the "diner" in Terminal B at EWR.  A diner in name only.

An alternate choice, if you're looking for a quick breakfast, you can also look for pretty much any local bagel shop in the area.  Not only will any bagel shop in that area have to do pretty good bagels just to survive (standards for them are pretty high in the NY/NJ area!), they'll also certainly serve the "Official Breakfast Sandwich of NJ", the Taylor Ham (Pork Roll), Egg and Cheese, otherwise known as a T-E-C (or the P-E-C).  Personally I like mine on a Kaiser with pepper and hot sauce, but you can have yours customized how ever you like, and you'll be on the road in under 10 mins.  There are also options over in Bayonne including Everything Bagels & Deli on 22nd, which I can vouch for from experience.

    Good Morning,

So here is a crazy thought, my buddy who also loves to cruise were talking and mentioned this idea!  NCL and RCG (Royal Caribbean Group) has been partnering on many things lately.

What are everybody's thoughts on a possible merger?

I haven't heard any sort of rumors of the sort, but the way things are right now I think it would be crazy to rule anything out!

The Jucy Lucy burger (no, that is not a typo) at Matt's  - Minneapolis (I believe it's illegal to come to Minnesota and not go there.  I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure).

    YES!  Great choice!

    For me:

Stroganoff Strudel from Ludwig's Garten in Philadelphia.

Crispy Rice and drunken noodles from Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas.

Peanut Butter Pie from Willow Valley Resort in Lancaster, PA.

Sweet crepes from literally every street vendor in Paris.

  11. While I hate to double post the same info in various threads, just in case some people don't make it over to the Shore Excursions section I'll post it here, too.

I just got all of my Cruise Planner refunds yesterday from the cruise Lifted and Shifted on May 11th.  Like an idiot, I didn't cancel the CP purchases prior to completing the L&S, so I'm sure that added to my wait time.  As an aside, I called in on July 9th to check on the status of the refund, and a very helpful customer service representative named Lacey told me she could see the system tried to process my refund on 6/1, but a computer error prevented it from processing.  Why it took me calling to find this error, ?‍♂️ , but she pushed the transaction through and said that it would be back on my card in 7-10 business days.  All of the funds got there in 6, so fair play there.
