The most annoying 'charter' group I have ever encountered was for a group from a supplement pyramid scheme, sorry multi level marketing entrepreneurs, who took over the Adventure of the Seas. They took over the main pools every day and karaoke every night. It doesn't have to be the 'hip hop crowd' that causes all the problems.
We just found other things to do and ignored the group and made the most of our cruise. Luckily it was a port intensive sailing out of San Juan so we weren't on the ship much.

Spoken like a Floridian lol. Those of us who live in cooler climates are looking for hot weather on our cruises!
I just got back to LA on Saturday from the Cabo/Mazatlan/Puerto Vallarta itinerary. Weather was fantastic!

Prepare to be shocked. Cruise ship spa prices are ridiculous! Doesn't slow down my wife though 😕

I tend to agree with your points.  Maybe, at 58, I've become an old codger. We have discussed the smaller lines, and that will probably be how we continue, assuming we do.
With regard to My Time Dining, we have used it in the past without much of an issue.  However, on the Mardi Gras, there were people lined up the length of a football field, on their phones, at both My Time and traditional, waiting to be notified their table was ready.
I get your point about shuffleboard... not many play.  There is no excuse for that sorry walking/jogging track that is always widely used on every ship I've been on.
And while my original rant about the technology still stands, and as the biggest Carnival apologist on this board over the last 10 years or so, 6500 passengers on that ship is cruising malpractice.  I no longer recommend that line at all, and everyone here can correctly say "I told you so".
I joked to my wife that when I pulled my suitcase from under the bed the last day, there was a family sleeping in it.  She rolled her eyes, but I heard her retell it to one of her friends.

Check in time would remain same as a regular sailing due to working hours for shoreside employees.

@Allie Hubers accidentally made my day with her article just published: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/10/27/celebrity-cruises-adding-customer-loyalty-lounge-weeklong-cruises
It's not the article content, it's one of the photos she included:

LOVE the choice of photo!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Awesome lead off expecting hurricane season snark from a blog full of cruisers also sailing during this time of year!
On the chairs, I think your expectation should be similar to your previous 9 cruises.  Chair hogs will be out expressing their entitlement by sequestering chairs for their possible future return.  If you can't get chairs exactly where you want, look at your second choice, then your third and so on.  No idea on if PDCC will be cancelled but I suspect not.  It absolutely won't rain the "entire time".  "So Windy" and "Too Rocky" are relative so I'll shoot you a maybe on those.
How do I go with the flow?  I use the coping skills I learned as a wee lad.  Generally I don't focus on the  few negatives in my view, but instead turn around and look at the vast number of positives.
Relax @Bridgetbien, the purpose is to unwind, not to wind yourself up tighter.  Enjoy your cruise.

I actually stayed in 7658 the last time I was on Radiance. It does not have obscured views but the balconies above look down onto yours.
The bigger balcony was fantastic though!

I have recently retired, so I have plenty of time.  I've been told there are 3 phases of retirement. Go-go years. Slow-go years. No-go years.
I'm determined to enjoy my go-go years. My father managed a credit union and taught me to save for retirement from day one.  Therefore, I can afford to enjoy these years and plan to see as much as possible. I choose cruising because it offers great value in travel.  Yes, it is expensive. On the other hand, taking a road trip to a national park is surprisingly expensive too.  Hotels are routinely $200 per night-or close to it. Tours, food, entertainment...it's all expensive and adds up in a hurry.
I'm sure we can all find cheaper travel, but I'm not looking to be miserable just to leave a large inheritance.  With luck, my last check (written to the undertaker) will bounce. 🤔

    $30,000/year.
Two Star class week long sailings for my family of 5.
    There, I said it.

    P.S. please keep buying almonds.

My budget? YOLO Book It! Not aware of any budget
    Hubby's budget? $0
Our actual budget? Somewhere in between those two 😁

Jokes aside, as our girls are getting older, we realize how limited our time is as a family of 4. That has prompted us to up our number of cruises to as often as we can swing it. I am the limiting factor. Because I am a teacher, I can only go in March, July, August, December. So the last few years, that is when we cruise. While the cost is high right now, we don't plan to back down either because we won't get this time back with girls. A year from now, I might only have one kid sailing with us (cheaper), and soon after that, it might just be Hubby and I (even cheaper). So things like that will affect how much, and what we spend on as well.
