Because the same questions were asked the summer of 2022 as were asked in 1997 when I was on the newish Majesty of the Seas.  No real reason to return after that.

I just punched in the information at the ballpark.  No picture of it was needed.  However, I am stunned that it accepted my selfie with other people behind me in the stands.

The photos can be done later, and in fact, a lot of people don't even bother and just do them at the port since a lot of times they re-take them, anyway.

    1. You can just select your arrival time in the app and do everything else later (which obviously makes the most sense in your case).
    2. You can upload pics using the website (from your phone or computer); the app only allows selfies.

PhantomWolf got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in More Out of Control CocoCay Pricing
Was on the cruise planner today and at CocoCay there is the "swimming pigs tour"... and before the "sale" it is listed at $154.  I have done this once before with my pig obsessed ex gf and I have no earthly idea why it would cost this much.  You take a beautiful but short boat ride to the area where the pigs are at, and then you get to feed them apples if you choose, get into the water with them for a photo op.
Why such a bloated price for a short, maybe ten minute boat ride and apples?!  Its not like I'm getting to drive a jet ski over to the island and then taking home lobster.
I love RC and I know this seems like a silly complaint, but I just had to point this out today.

A Gobbler bowl from Wawa is a better Thanksgiving meal than the one we had in the MDR on Jewel of the Seas November '22.  The Centrum was decorated and the 8 day itinerary to the ABC Islands was great.
Reality is, no theme park, cruise ship, hotel, resort or restaurant is gonna beat holidayhome cooking. But I'm grateful Jewel's culinary staff worked so hard so Mrs Geezer & I didn't have to......especially the cleanup and dishes part. 🤩

We have done Thanksgiving cruises the last 15ish years and I can tell you that it’s the best time to sail! The food for Thanksgiving is not great at all but the overall vacation experience makes up for it. Freedom is amazing and the Playmakers is going to be a great spot to catch some games. Enjoy

First of all, I am overly (properly) excited to be sailing again after having to take last year off after a job change and move across the country!  Right now it is hard for me to picture a vacation that doesn't include a cruise.  I love having this space and Matt's channel to be able to have an outlet for this excitement, so thank you.   Have two sailings this year, one early summer and then a Thanksgiving sailing on Freedom this year. (taking mom on a trip as a thank you for being awesome my whole life)
I was curious if Royal does anything special on Thanksgiving for dining.  Can't wait to watch some of the football games at Playmakers and poolside if they show it there.

Been awhile since I've been around, but I wanted to share some thoughts.
In October of last year I took a spur of the moment (get away from real life) last minute cruise on my own.  Was a three night simple trip on Independence, only plans were for an inside cabin room and the deluxe beverage package, no excursions were planned or other frills.  And I wanted to come here and say that I LOVED every moment of this trip!  It was liberating and exactly what I needed to get away from some stress.
I had more fun on this trip than the six nighter that I just went on that July when I was with someone.  I got to meet so many more people, have a bunch of fun and random conversations with strangers, ALL of them friendly and having a great time.  I'm not the most outgoing person and this was still very easy to do.
While sharing a trip with someone and making memories is a great thing, I did enjoy my time alone not having to worry about what another person wanted to do.  The only time it felt a little odd was when it was time to eat, but even then, if you wanted to strike up a conversation in the main dining room, or at a place like Playmakers, it was super easy.
So if you are on the fence about traveling alone on a cruise, be brave and go for it!  You only live once, so why not be adventurous
