From October 13 th to October 20th I’m cruising from New York with symphony of the seas , one of the stops I believe the third day is cape canaveral. Since I alread visited nasa in the past and I assume prob most are going that way from the cruise, I’m curious if a visit to universal studios would be possible, I ve no indication the times the ship lies there and how far the distance is. hoping to get some insights if this is a possible excursion, or to get some maybe better ideas. tnx in advance

Now onboard odyssey of the seas when I write this and overall I’m very pleased, however after booking 2 future cruises, I today cancelled both of them, onboard they made it a real thing on how cheap booking in the first four days it would be, so we thought let’s go, following day (today) we had a land day and we checked the rc website and found out booking online the cabin (3 person balcony) would be 500 euro a person cheaper and on both cruises, second one was even 2 cabins shared with 3 people. So speaking in total sum of 4500 euro, so went back to future cruise desk, they were like yh but we booked a bigger room, assigned you a room, all things I didn’t ask for, I just wanted a balcony I don’t had problem with rc assigning me later and yeah I know that it might than be partly obstructed but also here not a prob, we even said it at the booking, person just did his thing, afterwards he went yh I can also book what you want and the price was even 50 euro higher cause the ship gives you 600 euro off the price and internet 650, so from now on I book my own cruise online just as I did before, not doing it on ship again, also went to the loyalty ambassador online afterwards since he was the person in the tier event making the promotion to all, just want to share this, and give it to all to b4 booking on boat be sure you know what you would pay if you booked it yourself

Yeah turning 50 don't have a choice in that, however the way to celebrate it is another mather. Choose to celebrate it with making new friends instead of organizing a party where a lot of people come, i havent seen in years, no this way i spend it on myself and have a full vacation of fun instead of one day:) I love cruising never did a solo one before, and if you go with peeople or in a group, mostly you keep with the group instead of realy connecting with new people.

We are leaving on odyssey of the seas sep 6th, that is a great tip with the wheelchair elevator, it wasn't on the ships info anywhere. My mom will love to hear that she might be able to use the pool also. Tnx for the info

Planning to go on a holliday cruise 2025 to 2026 solo celebrating new year on the ship, will prob also be an interior room also cause of the prizes as a solo traveller. The date is than also special cause in 2026 i will turn 50 and i choose to go alone to meet new people, normaly i go with friends or family but that one is meant for me to go alone. Love that you can confirm my choice that its a great idea. For me its at the moment waiting that the named cruises get on the website and ill be able to book, meanwhile i'm waiting for my greek isles cruise leaving in 7 days, but this one is with family group of 6.

My mom is in a wheelchair and we are about to start our cruise on sep 6th, but the main thing i find royal caribbean lacks on their cruises is to adjust their swimming pool area, most ships i have been on are all stairs, for disabled people and elderly a walk-inn pool without stairs would be a real up for actualy using the pools, that this isnt possible for whirlpools is understandable.

hello Mark and Wendy I have been on multiple cruises, from caribbean, to alaska, hawaii. baltic, and other european cruises. Not as much as some of the others in my group, but i prefer royal caribbean for cruising. Just checked in online, just noticed i was able to in the royal caribbean app:) First tip is download the app, you can check in online, but also if you want you can book excursions, but would recommend to dot it in port (much cheaper) but you will also need need it to do the safety instruction when onboard.
