  1. A sense of entitlement is common place in everyday life not just on cruiseships.

Some more mature people complain non stop about how the younger generation behave and have no manners, then go out and behave even worse due to their belief that the world owes them or that they are above everyone else simply because of where they stay or how much money they have in the bank.

But it's not just the more mature that behave this way, younger generations follow in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents, how they are raised at home will have an impact on how they behave when older.

Sorry I added a question about hotel options in Singapore, if you can suggest.

    Thanks!!

For anyone traveling to Singapore Orchard Towers which is located on Orchard Rd right in the main shopping area is one to be avoided if you are not open minded.

World famous for the "Four floors of whores"

I have stayed at the Pan Pacific near Marina Bay and even just the Elevator Ride up to our room near the top floor was an experience!

Elevator starts in hotel lobby inside building for about first 6 floors then all of a sudden you  are outside for the rest

We are bilingual but the default language at Marina Bay Cruise center is English with Chinese characters underneath.

Singapore English is the main language spoken along with Malay.

This is probably due to the fact that Singapore was under British rule until the 1960's when it then became part of Malaysia for a few years before becoming an independent country.

Any English speaking visitors travelling to Singapore will have no problem communicating.

    Okay..I'm finally gonna do it..

@Censored...I've seen you at the helm of quite a lot of topics, which, at least to me, seem like "controversial" topics and I have to ask...why? Like...are you just looking for a place to vent your opinions? Are you trying to get under people's skins? Are you after conversation/discussion/ new view points? I'm genuinely curious...

Yes Maybe !  If i had not been on 60+ RCCL cruises and was a Diamond+ member

Virgin are that desperate they will actually match your RC tier level in their new rewards being launched next year!

Virgin Voyages, the adults only cruise line that offers cruises from Miami, is adding a new loyalty program. The new loyalty program will not only reward those who sailed during the cruise line’s first year of operation, but they will also match your loyalty status from other cruise lines.

Virgin Voyages plans on rolling out the most lucrative rewards program at sea in 2023.  However, the cruise line is offering VIP perks right now for those who sailed in 2021 and also those who have sailed twice in 2022.

Sea Blazers, those who sailed with Virgin during the cruise line’s first year of operation in 2021, will have access to Deep Blue Extras as well as Red Hot Booking Bonus months. (perks at listed farther down in this article)  In addition, they will receive additional perks including a $125 bar tab bonus for life.

Those who sailed with Virgin twice in 2022, will be coined Sea-Rovers and receive Deep Blue Extras and access to Red Hot Booking Bonus Months. On top of that, they’ll get a $100 Bar Tab Bonus through 2024.

With the cruise line’s Match and Sea More Program, they will match (and give you more) than your current loyalty status.

Not a fan of water activities myself.  But I do enjoy watching people having fun at the pools, slides, and other water features.

My love of water is that bad that i was on a small boat in Perth Australia when someone spotted a Dolphin, my wife went to take a photo of it and got a shot of me instead diving into the water to swim with the Dolphin.

Must admit didn't stay in the water long...well not after someone said " hope there's no sharks as well"

    Yes, Southampton is not happening.

Thats a shame for anyone who wanted to cruise on Icon, but its life and things change, just have to accept it.

Being honest just read Matts article on Icon and its  not for me! Love anything water related including water parks but i just look at the photos and think WTF is that!!

Up-to-date: to be considered up-to-date, guests must have received all doses in their vaccine series within 270 days (9 months) of our sail date or received a booster. Guests who've received a booster are considered up-to-date no matter how much time has passed.    ?????

Pretty sure this was for European cruises only, as in mentioned in the post you copied and pasted this part from

Sucks to get old but I have sadly come to the conclusion that, although I might have 5+ drinks a couple of days, I can’t do it every day anymore.  Thankfully after this next cruise, we’ll be Diamond.  I’m pretty comfortable with 4 comped drinks per day & paying OOP for the few extras.

If you Drink it all on the 1st day then you can take it easy rest of the week 🤣

Choose the date and the itinerary that you prefer and go with that.

Thats definitely where i would start.

1 . Dates you can travel, no point looking at 100s of cruises you cant go on.

2 . I would then look where cruises head to from ports i can cruise from and get a list of the ones i would like, you could have 2 ports with just 3 potential cruises each. Again this reduces the amount of cruises you are searching through.

3 . You are then left with maybe only 2,3 or 4 potential ships you have to choose from. Thats when you look at costs, size, things for kids to do etc.

  11. Travel to Puerto Rico

Passengers arriving on international flights must present a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within one day prior to departure to the United States (including Puerto Rico as a territory). Foreign citizens must also present proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Unvaccinated passengers arriving on international flights will only be allowed in entry to Puerto Rico if they are US citizens or permanent lawful residents.

Anyone visiting Puerto Rico should familiarise themselves with the local public health measures currently in place.
