mworkman
Well I tried them for the first time this last cruise and the wife and I don't care for them. Honestly we didn't see where the savory was in them. Sorry to be a buzz kill on them ?

rjac
Well, they had them on the Serenade last March. What the hell happened?
mworkman
I just had them on the Serenade sailing, if you ask for them the day prior you will get them at dinner the next night. rjac
arebee
Are these the little bread bites? I've seen them and my brother in law loves them. I've never tried them.

Tried that with the dining room staff. Even asked my genie. No dice.

Yes, that's them. Put them on your cruise bucket list.
Matt
They were still alive and well on Indy (until I ate them). I was trying to figure out what on Earth that was lol. And yes, after seeing the pic, they had them in CK on Harmony in August 2017. But not every night. WAAAYTOOO
I had heard that they were no longer available too but then on our last cruise (Allure) they said they could get them if you asked for them. No idea why they would be discontinued.

Only problem I have is, I don't have that many friends around here to invite over for dinner to serve them to.

When you arrive to the table there is a small assortment of bread waiting for you. Sad, in a way...I understand why, but it's one more cost-cutting measure that is quite obvious to anyone that's taken a cruise in at the last year or longer. WAAAYTOOO
I agree. First, they stopped offering a different bread selection every evening. Then they stopped offering ANY selection. Now you just get a plate of pre-selected bread. Sad !
rjweber3
We sailed on Brilliance in November, no bites. But, I asked and they were there in the MDR each night thereafter.
Alphreddo
Just got back last Sunday from Harmony. Asked our waiter for them and had them every night. Love them with a little butter or dipped into the butter/garlic in the escargot! Yum! rjac, FManke and SpeedNoodles 2
FManke
Seems to be one of those RC things that's hit or miss from ship to ship, or cruise to cruise.
pezgirl
On the Freedom last August, our tablemates were frequent cruisers with Royal. One person talked about these and requested them for our last night. Honestly, I didn't really get it. and i love bread.
Jolly Ogre
When I was on Allure in Jan 2019 I asked for them. The head waiter came over and asked how was it that I a new RCCL passenger knew of such things? He played like it was a big secret and then they made them only for me as a special request. Good humor fun and games. The entire staff was amazing and fun.
