Utopia New Itinerary Change

Just notified our Utopia Feb 3 - 4 Night Intinary changed to two Perfect Day stops vs only 1 stop and a day at sea.

This being our first b2b, we will be at Perfect Day 3 out of 5 days while on both cruises

Ugh.  Not a good change IMO but glad for you if it’s something you will enjoy.

No. Day 3 was a Day at Sea between Day 2 Nassau and Day 4 Coco Cay

Yes, that's the joke. I'd treat it still as a sea day, even though you're actually stopping.

It's too bad they dropped the sea day. Specialty restaurants are usually open for lunch on the sea day.

I hope this doesn't become the norm for 4 day cruises. Seems like an attempt to generate more revenue for the cruise line.

Seems like double Snack Shack!

The only downside I could see would be if specialty restaurants are then not open for brunch/lunch if that's something one wanted to purchase. Otherwise, mostly the best of both worlds IMO... stay on the ship (which will be far less crowded than a sea day) or enjoy a 2nd PDCC depending upon your preference.

Totally!  

Personally, we would love to get the extra day at Perfect Day, versus the sea day.  Our typical day a for Perfect day is to get up early, have breakfast in the MDR, chill out on the lower outside deck, then around lunchtime, get off the ship to go eat at the "bbq", then get back on the ship.  It's nice to be on the ship when its not very crowded, plus we're not beach/pool people anyway.

It should be available on embarkation day at the very least.

We are booked in October on Utopia and we would LOVE to get 2 stops at CocoCay

If I had to do 2 days at CocoCay I think I would rather lose the Nassau stop than a sea day to have more time to explore the ship. I know I could just stay on instead of going to CocoCay one of the days but I would want everything available and fully staffed.

Interesting change.   We have been stalking the Feb 3rd sailing for months to pair it up with a Feb Wonder cruise and a Universal Studios weekend sandwiched in the middle.   Maybe this is a sign to go ahead and book it...............???
