deep1
Been 20 years or so since I did a suite. Recently did an upgrade from dungeon to at least something with a terrace that we might actually see water and sky. Among the things that changed was 'Category' per printed sea pass to "Suite". On the app "Class ... suite". It has no "Star" "genie" or "Concierge" designation just "suite". Does this get us anything? I'm guessing bathrobe use maybe but no idea what else. Its my understanding that the "suite lounge" is for way high up classes. Concierge? No idea... Does suite get coastal kitchen or chefs table type stuff? AshleyDillo
Some of the ships don't distinguish between the different suite classes on the SetSail pass. You should be able to use the suites boarding line to get on the ship. You have to actually be in a Grand Suite or better to use the Suite Lounge and have access to the Concierge. If you are sailing a Quantum or Oasis class ship a Junior Suite can dine at Coastal Kitchen for dinner provided space is available. deep1, SemperMom and Neesa
deep1
Thats why I ask. I don't really need "pampering" but don't want to miss out on stuff if somehow I've become eligible... SemperMom, KJ777 and CruiseMsclDad 2

emmef
@deep1 If you are in a Junior Suite you can do Coastal Kitchen dining for your nighttime meal if they have availability. This perk is totally worth it. The food in Coastal Kitchen is comparable, and sometimes better than, the Specialty restaurants! Yes, you will get a robe in your room, probably also some complimentary bottled water and a coffeemaker in your room. deep1
Quantum .... Part of our group is in 11632 (JS) Some in 11628 (Shows OV Balcony 2D but they got "suite" status as well) The two connect. There is a third interior room that could connect as well but nobody in it that we know.

Not sure how the balcony group got suite status but I wold at least try to eat in CK a few times (especially night one for filet). You have to go there and ask about availability. It's not guaranteed for JS guests but if there's room you can make dinner reservations there. Not sure what your current dinner plans are but CK is much better than the MDR IMO. OCSC Mike
Never sailed Quantum class nor seen connected rooms like that. That's a very unique layout. Maybe that's why everyone gets suite status? USCG Teacher

Not only is the filet excellent but it will give you an idea of what it’s like and why you should eat there every night they let you over the MDR. I just did a JS on Quantum, and Coastal Kitchen was to die for. Go up there as soon as you board and request to make a reservation for all of the nights; they booked us every night of the cruise. CK was never packed when we were there. Elmer was a fantastic waiter! You also get priority embarkation as a suite member--keep an eye out for the separate entry line. deep1, michaelp1446 and OCSC Mike
Linda R
I cruise in Jr suites all the time. You can have dinner in CK nightly, but have to make the reservation on a daily basis. Go there in morning and make reservation for that evening. On rare occasions they might let you make reservations for other nights. The first night of the cruise is filet mignon night, I suggest you go to CK as soon as you board and get reservations for that night. Your room card will not open the doors for CK or suite lounge. You have to knock on door for them to open. You also do not have access to suite lounge. Your cabin will be larger. On Odyssey the Jr suite has 2 bathrooms. Also you will have a nice separate shower and a tub. The cabin will have a coffee/tea maker. I love the Jr suite on Osais class as you have a walk-in closet. Enjoy! emmef

The unfortunate "benefit" of Wonder... the door to the suite neighborhood is rarely closed so you can walk right in... along with anyone else on the entire ship. CruiseRoyalDad
Does CK still serve the 11-11 complimentary soda, beer, wine, water to sky class and above? Just received the letter from the concierge for a Harmony sailing on 5 Aug and it did not expressly say that. Thanks!!

It is never mentioned in the concierge letter… no idea why. You can always ask them to verify via e-mail but it’s still there. Technically it’s the SL, not CK, but I know what you meant. USCG Teacher
So, this thread got me thinking. A sky class suite benefit is "Priority Departure." I always thought that just meant departure on debarkation day, but does that also include non-tender ports of call as well? I never bothered to ask the concierge because I assumed not, but I am in fact aware of what happens when one assumes something...

On Oasis they were having problems with the gangway in Port Canaveral. We mentioned "Key" and we were escorted to what I'm guessing was a freight gangway down on deck 2. No waiting on taxis or anything. Rapid on and off the ship... KJ777

But it turns out that they did still have 11-11 bar service. It makes me uncomfortable though. It’s like they are hedging their bet so that they could remove that perk at any time since it’s not in writing. But for now I think you’re ok. Mike n Ky
One of the favorite things about a JS for my wife is the bathtub! On Odyssey the JS had two 'bath' areas...one side was commode and vanity in a separate room and the other had a vanity, bathtub and a very nice sized shower with the rain feature.
