r33796
Anyone have any experience with using/giving their daily drink vouchers to other cruisers?? As example , as a new D+ I will have 5 daily vouchers to use but I always buy the drinks package, so I have no need for them, BUT on our next cruise we will be traveling with my parents( separate cabin) who do not drink enough to justify the package. I would not be violating the " do not share" aspect of my drink package and I assume I could say to the bartender use a voucher on this drink and hand it to my father would not be frowned upon?? Thoughts?
Vancity Cruiser
Holy cow! You get the drink package over an above your drink package?! Your poor liver lol. MTNeedsAVacay, CruisingOz, Poolside and 1 other 3
OCSC Mike
You are not supposed to use your drink vouchers for other people. No judgment or advice here, just letting you know what RC would say. After that it's up to you.
KristiZ
Yes, you can absolutely use your vouchers for others! Our last cruise back in March we were with new cruisers, and the first two rounds of the day were always on us Those vouchers are a great upgrade to the loyalty program, as far as I'm concerned. steverk
I've used them for others. Never made it a secret. Never had a problem. CruisingOz
willowberry88
Our Diamond status friends got drinks for us and our kids almost every day and it was never an issue and not a secret - won’t be a problem at all! CruisingOz
r33796
Thanks figured it would not be an issue and I knew this group would have some insightful comments WAAAYTOOO
MTNeedsAVacay
Same experience as above! We would all just take turns using our Diamond drinks to buy a round- no secret about sharing them at all!

You're both right. @OCSC Mike is right that the rules say the Diamond benefits are non-transferable. In fact, I once wrote an article saying you could order a drink for others and Royal Caribbean "informed" me that it was not the policy. However..... In practice, @jticarruthers is right that I've never seen any waiter or bartender care if I ask to use my diamond drink for someone else. octaviocloss
We usually share our Diamond drinks with other family members while on board. Most of our group is usually D/D+ but my dad and my uncle drink a lot... xD!
OCSC Mike
Agree with everything posted. I was trying to say what Matt did, he just explained it better. Of course you CAN and I'm glad to hear so many haven't had any issues doing so.
twangster
When I contacted Crown and Anchor by email they replied that sharing diamond drinks is allowed. Allen2, Sweety and WAAAYTOOO 2
