Check in issue for our upcoming sailing
octaviocloss replied to octaviocloss's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
tried both online and app, also tried using a vps and a vpn from different places, cant do it. My main issue wouldn be not being able to answer the health questions the days before. -
We are sailing on OY next January 6th from Fort Lauderdale; and while i could pick our boarding time, there's no way for me to complete the check in. Says something is downloading and i should try again later. this has been happening for a couple days now and im wondering if there's any work around to fix the issue, or if anyone ever encountered it too and it solved by itself. Thank you so much for reading!

Greetings fellow cruisers, our Explorer of the Seas sailing is coming soon (September 24th). Our trip starts tomorrow and i have a question regarding the ATM onboard. Considering we'll be salling from Europe (Ravenna) - does the ATM give Euros or US dollars? In case we decide to use the ATM (im certainly sure we will need to do so, as i wont be able to carry a lot of cash due to international travel restrictions), do you know what are the rates if we use our US debit card to get money out? i.e If we get U$S100 out whats the % they take? Thank you in advance!

How much luck with Royal Up?
octaviocloss replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Recently bid on all kind of suites for our explorer 24th Sept sailing. We already on a Junior suite but i'd love to upgrade that haha! No big hopes tho. -
This is what we do regarding tips: On the final night, we usually Tip around U$S100 to the main dinning room staff (For the whole staff) Bartenders: $1 bill or most of the times blue $1/ yellow c0,50 casino chip. Flowrider staff: I always take the group lessons and whenever i feel like i got helped and improved; id tip them too. Room attendant: $10/20 first day.

Yes, they will work, 100% sure since we did this.

I went to Aruba a twice, the first time we did a royal caribbean excursion to an island that has a Water Park on it, and Flamingos to take pictures with. While that experience was good, the one i quoted before was the one i did right after the restart while onboard Odyssey of The Seas, and it was way, way better.

I'd go to Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, book the day pass. Its worth every penny. (We are also a 30's couple)

I've seen several footages of Leo Messi on HOTS, did he actually sail for a full itinerary? I noticed the ship was moving while the images were taken. Not sure how this was done, anyone got any info regarding this?

Stay Awhile - Explorer in Ravenna
octaviocloss replied to Bazza's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You can purchase Stay a while on non us sailings, starting from $35 up to $49 per adult; child pricing is lower. You'll be enforced to leave your room early but you can stay and enjoy the ship ammenities up to 3PM. You leave your luggage with RCI employees and pick them prior leaving the ship at the designated point. There should be announcements on the speekers too. This should clarify the entire post. -
How rough are the seas during transatlantics?

Under 2 year old on Oasis
octaviocloss replied to Curt From Canada's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Couple things we did when my little brother was around that age: Carrousel ♥ Kid games located near Johny Rockets. Splash area located right near the pool area (i feel like this place is where the young child will enjoy the most!) And last but not least, enjoy the Adventure Ocean program activities and the place itself, plus everything it has to offer for small childs. -

What if you come back to ship early?
octaviocloss replied to Jen Hancock's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
In ports like Nassau we hardly ever descend.. Staying in the ship while in port could be a huge dub, empty ship just for you, flowrider and slides without lines, pool chairs availability; empty solarium, a lot of room in the windjammer; who doesnt love that haha! -
The Explorer of the Seas - Drydock
octaviocloss replied to RSosa13's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I can't wait to get on board explorer in september to see how good it is; counting the days! i've seen so many good reviews after it was ''refreshed''! -
We did 2 cruises during the restart; one Odyssey at like 30% capacity and won a Junior Suite with a min bid; and then an Symphony and won a Junior suite with a min bid. Then; we sailed from Jersey in Oasis (we were in a balcony) and i put a very decent offer on many cabins, but since the cruise was near full capacity i lost it on every single bid. We spent last new years even on allure with my family, i upgraded 3 interior rooms to balconies for a tad little bit over min bid and cruise was supossed to be near full capacity; but i KNEW it WASNT FULL because i could still book balconies at a ''decent'' price during prior days; this is a huge factor in my opinion. We are cruising from Ravenna in Sept. 24 and if you look at Royals page; there's pretty much no chance to upgrade my room, we are currently booked on a Junior Suite and the site shows no availability for other suites. No matter what ill still bid to try and snag a last minute upgrade but im doing it with low hopes.
