    I believe, the terminal does not open until 10:00 am and even if you could get into the terminal there is nothing to do nor see. Not sure what you could do that early in Miami to kill the time. We always get the the port the day before, stay in a nice hotel and get to the terminal no later than 10:00.

    I am not a big fan of the Windjammer, PLEASE do not get me wrong, I do enjoy eating there but I am not a fan of how absolutely disgusting some people are that go in there.  I mainly eat breakfast in there as well as stop in to get a plateful of their delectable oatmeal raisin cookies to munch on throughout the day.  I would gladly go without the WJ for awhile in order to keep everyone safe, I must say that I will miss getting onboard and having lunch and and debarkation breakfast but I am sure that they will have something else set up. I also wonder what they will do to feed people on places like CocoCay and Labadee since its basically a buffet day.  I hope that they have something suitable that is going to be able to handle the masses without having to wait too long.  But either way, it is DEFINITELY better than being at home and cooking myself!!😂😃

    Cococay...  A year ago, I started watching cabana prices for my cruise that departs tomorrow.   I jumped and did the Chill Island Cabana at $499.  Now it is outrageous at $1000.  For my 2021 February cruise, I committed early for the beach club at $79pp.  
     If WAAAYTOOO has an experience that is less than awesome, it is an easy cancelation.

    We loved Farfalle Italian Restaurant.  The  Lobster Ravioli and Tiramisu were awesome.

    Two medical emergencies on board required she make her way to port as quickly as possible.
    The Captain announced they had consulted with doctors on land and determined this was safer than a helicopter evacuation.  There are situations where a helicopter evacuation can't be performed or isn't advisable. 
    The only impact to the cruise was the casino and shops closing early.    Otherwise you would have never known we were in port approximately 6 hours early.  
    Due to tides we were scheduled to be at the pilot station at 2am and we actually arrived at the pilot station near 8pm.  
    Ships often have to divert for medical reasons.  Helicopter evacuations are not standard.  Three weeks ago Empress had to visit Key West on an unscheduled basis to drop off a medical emergency.  That caused her to reach Miami a few hours late the next day.  It happens quite often and we frequently see ships from different cruise lines diverting or returning to port for medical emergencies.

    The UPS is a contender for lowest price now..but no balcony...but GPS/OPS prices are waaaay more for 2!

    I completely agree with this.  Having done all of the SC room options except for the Royal Loft and the new UPS on Oasis, I would fully enjoyed the GPS more than any of the others. It is so unfortunate that they did not retain these rooms with Harmony and Symphony (and presumably any of the new O class ships).  It was a wonderful choice.  No long walk (ATS) and no stairs to climb (loft suites).  I thought I would miss the big balcony but I did not.

    ETA: Yes, I AM already researching and planning for sky class in 2 years time, why do you ask? This is totally sane behavior. Don’t judge me.

    It is SOP for the Suites Concierge to contact passengers in Grand Suites and above by email around 5 days prior to embarkation but sometimes they do not for one reason or another.  I have always been the  primary contact on every cruise that Dan and I have taken and have always been the person to whom the Concierge sent the “Welcome” email - until this past cruise on Brilliance.  For whatever reason (no idea why) Dan received the Concierge’s welcome email and, of course, didn't mention it to me.  Because I never received an email, I wrote to the Brilliance Concierge at which time she wrote back and told me that she HAD, indeed, reached out.  Oops....
    So, if you are expecting a Suites Concierge email and haven’t received one yet, make sure  the email didn’t go to someone else. If you feel that you should have gotten an email and did not, you can reach out to them directly.

    Update on the noise issue
    When Joyce was at our suite this afternoon, she said that the Cruise Director has actually disconnected the offending speaker as opposed to just adjusting the output. Apparently there was no way to just adjust the output.  I hate to think that they spent big money on a new speaker system just to have it removed. Someone should have anticipated that the noise level was going to be excessive.  Maybe they did...maybe they didn’t.
