Usually a month out the wife starts planning as for me a few days prior.  This year will be hectic. We are listing our house in mid August and going on a cruise Sept. 12.  No more suit packing just a blazer and that works great for me.  Heck the day I got married I packed for the honeymoon and forgot nothing and still that way to this day.  That was only 43 years ago.  HA HA.  No pressure.  Also leave room in your luggage and split items up. Room for purchases.   Luggage loss does happen unfortunately.

The fact that you are in a suite means you are getting double points already.  I got a Royal Up offer 4 weeks ago for our Sept. Anthem cruise and never bothered.  To go from a balcony to a suite and not get double points.  Forget it.  That`s a lot of extra money saved.  

Keep what you have. The money saved can buy lots of other things. I.E.:  specialty dinners, drinks, excursions, etc.
 

It's a situation that's occurring more and more in society.  Part of the challenge for any company is that they have limited ability to challenge a guest's assertion they have a disability that requires a service animal.  No company on land or at sea can require anyone to prove a disability.  I could sit in a wheel chair and make all sorts of claims about a disability and no store, or theater, or amusement park or cruise line can legally challenge me.
As many people note when flying that an airplane can solve many disabilities.  Some people claim the need for assistance to board and/or priority boarding for their ailment then miraculously by the end of the flight they can jump up and walk off the plane like a fully abled body person can.  The miracle of flight.  This is what our society has come to.  
Airlines and cruise lines have noted the abuse of the service animal policy and are trying to deal with it as best they can but people will go to great lengths to fake a need.  It is really unfortunate because there are truly valid needs that are being impacted by the fakers.
Princess has them too.   

We never buy drink packages. We drink enough, but in moderation. Utilizing Diamond perks, happy hours, party invites ... purchased drinks amount to maybe one by the pool around lunch, wine at dinner, a drink for the show .... etc .... so we end up purchasing maybe 3 or 4 drinks a day per person, maybe less some days. Our OBC usually takes care of that. I remember one trip with pre-paid gratuities and such where the bill at the end of the week after credits and perks was $4 and we had had a marvelous time.

We are staying at the Embassy Suites in Sept. Before our Anthem cruise.  Shuttle from the airport and a shuttle to the pier.  Can`t be any easier than that.

On Anthem it was held at the Music Hall.

I will say, having someone call your room to let you know coffee and fruit is on the way makes for a pretty great cruise alarm clock. 

I’m still leaning towards the idea that he was holding her up so she could see out and she just wiggled loose and fell.  The whole “I didn’t know it was an open window” just isn’t believable.   It’s just a terrible, horrible, sickening accident. They happen every day.  But there is no way that this is the fault of the cruise line.  I hope they fight it.

The government website includes very specific details about each and every finding plus the remediation plan.  It’s very telling to review the findings. 
Some cruise lines have a sign missing or not within X feet of where it needs to be.  Other cruise lines are busted for failing to report a health related issue that requires reporting.  
The devil is in the details.  
It’s also easy to pass these inspections.  It’s requires work and training but that is in the public’s best interest.  When companies habitually fail it’s very telling - they aren’t trying, it’s not important to them. Profit on the hand, is.  

While waiting to disembark one cruise, I looked down and saw a dumpster on the pier filled with several women's dresses still on the wire hangers and in dry cleaning bags.  I was amazed that someone would leave their clothes on the ship and the ship would just throw them away.
