I voted for gym and spa but really it's only the gym part I'd drop. For my first 3/4 cruises, I would take workout wear thinking I'd use the gym....but I never did and those clothes never got worn. But that's just for me and I think there are enough people who still use them to make them worthwhile. Plus, I think the crew also uses the main gym.
 
Honestly, if I got rid of anything it'd be the casino and smoking.....

Crown and Anchor status is irrelevant.  Royal Up is administered by a third-party vendor.  

I do all the cooking at home, so I've taken these home and place them next to my wife's plate at the end of her meal, when its a "special" homemade meal. Kids think its pretty funny, just to reminder her to at least say thank-you for the home cooked meal.

On our Baltic Cruise we asked for extra envelopes so we could give them directly to those who we felt deserved a bit extra on top of the prepaid. 

I agree that its more personal that way.
I disagree that it is a good idea.  You would be surprised as to how many people do not tip, refuse to tip, or just don't know they should tip.  Many countries outside of US do not have a customary tipping tradition like we do.  The auto-grat is a decent system (even with apparent flaws) and additional tipping is a great option.

Those who really like to eat are bunked out in the kitchen!

No one has flinched as of right now. Just checked three major lines and the covid requirements are as they have been, no change yet.

Me neither. I was hoping for a change, not a statement saying they will let us know when a change could, maybe, sort of happen. 
As far as the CDC providing guidance, they may come by Christmas. lol

yes, I would love to stay at suite to get 3x the point.  But can't afford that.   My first Royal Cruise was 2 weeks ago, which I travel with group but I have my own room.
 
7-8 - Oasis.  Solo in a room. Earn 14 points.
Next 3 cruise is solo:
Adventure of the Seas  - Oct. Solo for 5 nites.  Will earn 10 points.
Anthem of the Seas - April 23, 23 for 8 nites.  Will earn 16 points
Ovation of the Seas - May 11, 23 for 8 nites.  Will earn 16 points
That will put me at 56.  Two more solo 7 nites will put me at Diamond.  🙂  Just got another offer from Casino for a free cruise, will call them up to see which day is free..

The best hack remains to marry into a high status. 😀
