Looks like this glitch has been fixed. When I click on 24 Nov or 1 Dec it takes me to the correct sailing. 8 Dec. is still not up as far as I can see. 29 Dec. is in there twice !

buying the Unlimited Dining Package now and using CK for breakfasts and maybe some lunches instead of dinner.
This is precisely what we do. Glad to see that you are keeping your Royal sailings despite your struggles on your last cruise.

This often occurs when there is one cabin left. All it takes is one person clicking on it just to see where it is and then it's temporarily taken out of inventory available on the website to prevent multiple people from booking it. Once that person stops going through the booking process it can take a few minutes for it to reappear.
Often when you get that "No staterooms in this category" error it means there is actually one available unless someone beats you to it.
+1 on this !

And for iFly they check if you have already been there on that sail. They won't allow you to "ride" two times in one sail.
Really ? That's the first time I've read that !
I guess that's one of the big perks of Star Class then....we rode as many times as we wanted. Yikes.

Wow...what a great itinerary. I haven't been on Explorer in many years but I love that class of ship so I know you will have a great time.
Say hello to Curacao for me. It's my favorite Caribbean island (not that I have been to every one of them !!!). It's so quaint and inviting. You will learn what "My Dushi" means (a good thing !).

Here’s an article posted on 10/30 from somebody who was onboard looking over the work they’re doing:
It’stitled: “Just Back from the Newly Refurbished Oasis of the Seas: Still at the Top of its Game?”
Very nice article...unfortunately, it says nothing about being on schedule

I have no reason to believe it will be cancelled.
In fact, they just told Cruise Critic the other day things are looking great
Fingers crossed that you are right, Matt. Unfortunately, I do not have the faith that you do.

So sorry to hear about this unfortunate change. I think you have a very good attitude about it. I know some would be rending cloth and throwing themselves on the floor. Congratulations for not doing that !
I also love how they are rewarding C&A nights in conjunction with the original itinerary. I don't think I've heard of them doing that before. Good news.

Will a Radiance class ship fit into the Baltimore Port? I read or heard on the podcast that larger ships can not fit into the port/harbor area.
There is much debate about this. The answer is...nobody is really sure !

There are 3 reasons to book a specialty restaurant on the Cruise Planner before you cruise:
1. You can sometimes take advantage of a discount. This is not as common for a single meal as it is for the dinner packages but there are still sometimes "sales" on specialty restaurants. It's also true that they sometimes offer discounts on specialty dining once onboard...just to be fair.
2. When you pre-purchase the specialty meal, your gratuity is included in the price you pay online. If you purchase your meal on the ship, you will be paying 18% gratuity on TOP of the cost of the meal.
3. You get to choose the day and time that you want.

I've found I can mitigate that feeling and make the flow even easier by taking a car service to the port....that way they will drop you right at the special star class location and you don't have to worry about parking and walking back
We had very bad luck with this both times on Harmony. It seems that both times our drivers got into the wrong lane that would not permit them to go all the way up to the Star Class banner....so twice we schlepped our bags all the way from the corner up to the SC area....all the while, baggage handlers trying to get us to drop off our bags.
I agree with dodgestang though...if you CAN get the driver to go all the way up, it's much better. Just remember to keep your bags with you EVEN if someone at a Star Class area tells you that they are Star Class baggage handlers. DON'T DO IT ! There will be a Star Class greeter who will pre-check you in....and he/she will tell you what to do with your bags. If you have pre-arranged with the Genie to take your bags through security and onto the ship with you (which we insist on doing) then don't give your bags to ANYone until after you have talked directly with your Genie. After that, it's all auto-pilot. You will not have to think about anything else after that !
Our most interesting SC embarkation was our very first one, with Reyno. Once we got on board he took us back behind Guest Services, through back hallways, through hidden doors...and it was almost impossible to keep up with him b/c he walks at a forced march pace. He's a trip ! The ones since that one have been fairly boring...but easy.

Unfortunately, Enchantment is scheduled to return to Baltimore to replace Grandeur. Enchantment was here a few years ago before Grandeur.
I certainly hope they do some maintenance on Enchantment. It truly looks like a rust bucket right now and as Twangster told us a while back, there are sometimes significant internal maintenance that needs to be done as well.

A few years ago Royal announced that they would no longer be offering last minute cheap fares. They have seemed to hedge a bit on that lately but I have not seen any REAL substantial last minute savings on a Royal cruise fare in a very long time. That, combined with the fact that Royal ships sail "full" nearly 95% of the time AND the new Royal Up program have made last minute openings very rare.
Bottom line. Yes, it could happen but I certainly wouldn't hold my breath.
...and just so ya know, 5 months before a cruise IS considered "last minute" ! Without a doubt, the best time to purchase a cruise is immediately after the itineraries are released. As a general rule, the closer you get to sailing, the more expensive the fare is going to be.

I find the CK on O class ships superior to the Q class. I am not a super CK fan but I still find it far superior to the MDR.
