I hate to do this, but I'm locking this thread.
We've had extensive discussions on the nature, susceptibility and infection rates of COVID-19 versus pretty much every contagion known to man. It always results in problems and rarely relates to cruising.

I gotta brag on @Danette LeBlanc for all her help. I went to her today with a price drop that I noticed and she immediately went to work and spent quite a while on the phone with RC. She saved us quite a bit and I'm so thankful to be working with her.

Tests are great but they are a "right now" snapshot of your state.
Who is to say that the very instant you become infected you will test positive 5 seconds later?  How long does it take once infected before you do test positive?  10 minutes?  One hour?  8 hours?
You are in a hotel room the night before the cruise.  You take an Uber to the port.  Between the two of them you are exposed to the virus but it hasn't taken hold to the point you test positive.
The last passenger in an Uber sneezed and the Uber driver didn't clean their car very well between passengers.  You grab the handle of the Uber car door that has virus on it as you step out at the port.  You unload your luggage, hand the porter a tip and you touch your face to scratch that itch.  Sixty seconds later you get tested.  The virus has been introduced to your blood stream but it hasn't multiplied or taken root.
You pass the port instant test with flying colors, board the ship and the first thing you do is start drinking.  Your drunken immune system can't fight of the multiplying virus within your body.  It reaches critical mass and now there is enough virus in you that you do test positive, except you've already tested negative, boarded the cruise and it's day 2.
The porter is now infected from your cash tip and is interacting with other guests arriving every 30 seconds.  Twenty five percent of them become infected but they get tested 60 seconds later when the virus hasn't taken hold in them yet.

Its been a few weeks since I have had time to jump over here to the boards to see what is up - and MAN - this was a great string to read.
Thank you all for the shout outs to the team of agents that work on the RCCL Blog team.  All of the agents on the team work together to help you all get the best price for your reservations.  With as many sales as Royal has, it takes the help of others to make this work.
Whether you reach out to one of the agents directly, come to me and ask for a recommendation or submit a request - we are all happy to help you with your travel plans.

Looks like a "Diamond Plus Member" is trying to defend RCCL! Maybe she/he works for RCCL or has become a "Diamond" due to RCCL given perks or whatever. Anyway, making excuses for a multi billion dollar corporation that apparently jumped the gun and prematurely sent out emails. What RCCL did was WRONG and DECEPTIVE. We have laws here in the USA against that. This is nothing short of "duping" their customers and keeping our money! Ampurp85, don't forget, each and every one of these cruises cancelled up to early June have already been paid for 100% by every booked passenger because RCCL require full payment 90 days prior to sailing date. That is hundreds of thousands of full paid fares that they are HOARDING right now but those ships are moored will little costs to them. RCCL is "making bank" right now with our money! They are loosing/gonna lose many if not most of these future customers. The PR is Bad. They just need to pay back our money and not lie and change their mind and jerk us around!

I would not say that Royal is "screwing people over left and right". They are cancelling 10's of thousands of reservations. It will take a while to process everything.
Getting 100% credit versus 125% is not screwing people. If you cancelled with "Cruise with Confidence" then you are entitled to 100% not 125%. I know you are upset that someone "told" you otherwise, but when new policies are put in place, there is confusion.
I hope you get your full refund.

You really do not get much of a temperature shift in the Southern Caribbean year-round, so yes, it will be warm enough to swim in December (or any month).

I got an email from Royal that they will be doing this (a daily coffee loaded on my see pass card) on my upcoming Grandeur sailing as a diamond benefit because of the large numbers of Diamond and above cruisers.

If I can't sail in a balcony, I won't cruise, so 1 cruise in a balcony rather than 2 insides.  To me, an inside cabin is like being in a walk in closet for a week.  I did it for my first cruise, but will never do it again.  I'd stay home before I would go in an inside.

To add the to the "just about any drink can be made virgin" this is true and the bartenders can also tell you if making the drink virgin is pointless. On my last cruise I forget what I tried to order virgin, but the bartender said "I mean I can make that for you, but it's basically going to be grapefruit juice" so I went with something else. Though I would encourage you to have some direction when ordering since my attempt to tell the bartender at R Bar to "give me an interesting but fruity nonalcoholic drink" resulted in literal fruit punch that you would serve at a kid's party.
