  1. From the looks of things, you're assigned a Boeing 777 for this flight.  I'm going to agree with @Carlos A. here and assume that they've just maintained the same seating designations from the Premium Economy section and omitted seats B & K in the 2-4-2 row of Main Cabin Extra.  I wouldn't be concerned, but you can always call or jump on the Customer Service chat online or on the app if it'll set your mind at ease!

I've never played craps, but I'm thinking about playing on our next cruise. Curious if anyone knows what the minimum bet on RC tables is?

If you've never played, in the past there were also classes you could sign up for where they walk you through the basics of roulette, blackjack and craps in the casino while it is closed.  I think you even got a few bucks in casino credit, too.  I'm not sure if these still exist or not, it's been several years since I did it, but it was a nice service.  Bonus: since the casino was closed, no smoke.

Actually as you're going around towards the back of the aqua theater there are stairs there that will take you down to the jogging track level. There are often Adirondak chairs there to sit and take in those wake views. Pretty quiet spot for sitting and reading, except in the morning and late afternoon when people are likely to be getting their jog or walk in. Even then it's not that noisy, just a passing pedestrian.

+1. This was my son's absolute favorite spot to hang out with me on Allure.

To the contrary, "we will intensify our pressure on the company" sure sounds like a precursor to the phrase management dreads: "Working the contract."  When labor works to the letter of the contract and will do NOTHING outside of the scope of what is legally obligated of them, it can absolutely tie companies up in knots.  It is an extremely effective negotiating tool, and it will impact flights if they go that route.  I'm certainly not saying that's inevitable, but a mediator rejecting a full-on general strike is not the path to clear skies that some might assume.

If you've not done one before an Everglades Airboat ride can be fun and will burn up a few hours before they drop you at the airport.

We did this a few years back and enjoyed ourselves.  It was amazingly convenient, too. 👍🏼

@Ryan79 & @CrznTxn Thank you!! I'll make sure to talk to someone about it. I know that volleyball isn't as popular as basketball and soccer, but it would be fun for us. My daughter plays on her school team so it would be interesting practice too.

While I know it's a country mile from playing actual volleyball on the court, they also offer pool volleyball pretty much daily in the sports pool.  They basically just set up a net and toss a ball in the pool and the let the guests work the rest out, but it might scratch an itch for you if need be!

The most disrespectful invention ever is the speaker phone and the people who feel like the entire world needs to know their business. There is absolutely nothing more obnoxious than someone yapping on a speaker phone in public. Nails on a chalkboard for me.

I thoroughly enjoy loudly replying to public speakerphone conversations as though they were speaking to me.  If they're going to involve me in the conversation, so be it.

  8. As many people have already stated, there's storage both above your seat and in racks by the doorways on the Amfleet cars they run on the Northeast Corridor trains.  The overhead bins are open and far more spacious than airline overheads; they can even hold many full-sized "checked" luggage types of bags.  The conductors are also pretty creative in helping you find space for your belongings if need be.  The official baggage policy is that each person may bring one personal item up to 25 lbs. (14"x11"x7") and TWO carry-on items of 50 lbs. each (28"x22"x14"), but I've seen people drag on WAY more than that.  I'm attaching photos of the end racks and the overhead bins for reference.

BTW, I have to share this one. My favorite auntie gets me scratch offs for my birthday. I still need to cash it in. But the pork roll v. Ham debate is real!

Fun fact: my wife helped design that game. She does design for NJ Lottery. Now back to your regularly scheduled live blog hilarity. 😉 Have a great cruise!

Do the dining packages increase or decrease as you get closer to your cruise date? Or do they stay the same? I'm pretty sure we don't want to wait until the cruise to book them because I'm sure they go up then.

Both can and will happen.  Royal's package prices usually hover in a fairly consistent space with some occasional fluctuations.  Sometimes it's because of a sale, sometimes it's just random.  Your best bet in buying anything off of the Cruise Planner is to just buy what you're interested in whenever it is at a price you're comfortable with, but then keep monitoring the price!  If it goes down after you buy it, you can always cancel and rebook at the lower rate.  The only caveat is to be sure to call in to rebook on items that may sell out.  There have been tales of people who cancelled online to rebook the lower price, and by the time they rebooked, the excursion or package had sold out.  Doing the exchange live with an agent is far less convenient, but it eliminates that possibility.

I'll be celebrating almost 2 years sober on this trip

Huge congrats, man.  That is no small feat.  Glad you're able to celebrate, and happy to be following along!

I'll take a couple dozen soft pretzels and a few cheesesteaks (you pick the place, anywhere will be better than what I get here).

To most central FL restaurants' credit, I've always seen them listed as "Philly-style Cheesesteaks," and not Philly Cheesesteaks.  I view this as an explicit admission that they won't be anything remotely close to the real deal, it's just the best they can do.  Fair play.  All that said:

And yeah, we tried a cheesesteak in Miami a few months ago and that was rough!

    Yup.

OMG, I am packing so many snacks and I keep mentioning this to everyone. Like I brought several cooler bags/backpacks because everyone said the food/beverage situation is bad. That was my major concern, it would be just my luck to be up those hours instead of sleeping.

Are you doing coach, or do you have roomettes/bedrooms?  On Texas Eagle, from Chicago to San Antonio has "Flexible Dining" in the dining car, which is a generous term for microwaved meals.  That said, even those microwaved meals are a step up from what's in the cafe car.  The cafe car is fine for a short commuter trip where you just forgot to eat and need a quick snack, but fr real sustenance it gets old real quick.

    Generic Amtrak Cafe Car menu

Also to note: I have been on trips where no cash was accepted and it was card only, and I've been on trips where the CC reader was broken and the cafe was cash only. 🤷🏻‍♂️

At Samba on Allure last month the filet was the third meat brought out. I couldn't really figure out what was determining the order presented. Lamb was towards the end, but so was the pork. Staff was excellent and I probably could've asked for only certain meats without issue. In fact, they brought back by several of the more expensive beef cuts trying to get me to take more. My only issue during the meal was the dessert buffet wasn't being replensished quickly. Though having a slight delay in dessert after all that meat wasn't a bad thing.

I was on two weeks ago and had the same experience.  Filet and tenderloin were fairly early on, we absolutely had the red/green disc, and the servers had no issue at all if any of us wanted to skip a particular meat.  Our experience was somewhere between 90 mins. to 2 hours, but that was definitely more of an us issue than a them one.  It was only about 60% full and still a long ways to closing, so we didn't feel rude lingering and enjoying a few glasses of wine...
