CrznTxn got a reaction from OCSC Mike in Cozumel, Roatan, Belize & Puerto Costa
We always go to Tabyana Beach through the ship in Roatan for the snorkeling. They have food but you pay for the drinks which are not much. If you want all inclusive we have gone to Sol y Mar through the ship and the beach is shallow and easy for kids. It is easy but I prefer the snorkeling in West Bay.
Use Costa Maya for the historical excursion.
In Belize we loved the cave tubing and the food was excellent.
Cozumel we go to Nachi Cocom for $59pp adult for all inclusive beach. You will have to pay for the taxi ($17 each way up to 4 people) but the food is great and the bartender will make your drinks any way you want. You book them direct https://cozumelnachicocom.com/

Nassau just opened their expanded terminal and if you just want to get off and grab a bite, a local drink and shop for some souvenirs then you do not have to leave the port area.

Wheelchair service at Pier 91 is at the entrance to the terminal. The pier will have personnel at the entrance so you can talk to them about getting one for your mother. From the Royal Caribbean FAQ page:

CrznTxn got a reaction from OCSC Mike in SAFETY MUSTER 2hrs before checkin????
The safety check-in will open on the app at 8:00am on sailing day. Complete the two sections, make sure they state "Complete" and turn green and then you are ready to visit your muster station when are aboard. If you have multiple people that are linked you can do their check-in (I did not say that) for them but they need to check on their phones that they have both sections state "Complete". We have had multiple instances where my wife played my videos for me on her phone while I was driving but when I checked on my phone the horn signal was not showing "Complete". Listened to it on my phone and all was good.

It does not matter. The porters and longshoremen do not segregate bags by tier level or purchased enhancements. When my wife took several of her friends, all the luggage tags showed the level of the lowest tier member even though we are D+. They all made it to the room at the same time. It is the enhancements on-board and at embarkation/disembarkation that the Key influences.

Prior to the pandemic on Liberty we decorated 4 cupcakes apiece with our two grand kids and their parents. It was loads of fun but with 24 cupcakes, even our grand kids were overwhelmed. We stood out on the Promenade and passed out free cupcakes to whom ever wanted them.

Not really. Only if I wanted a really bad drink or just to see the "technology" in action would I go see the bionic bartender. The real thing is much more interesting and befriending the bartenders on the various ships we sail on has great consequences on the "strength" of the drinks.

Northstar down will probably be a bigger miss than the bionic bar.

Ours are almost to the top of the door. It is the "older" little ones that liberated the figures from the door.

Sorry, since the pandemic there are no flowers for sale on Royal Caribbean. My wife is quite disappointed.

In Galveston for Allure they have been painting on the ship's exterior on the dock side on our last two sailings. They have a motorized lift that the crew were using to get to the high places. It has looked really good lately. They were also varnishing some of the railings during the trip. Standard ongoing maintenance.

There is a mini "cooler" in the balcony staterooms but it is hit or miss on the actual cooling and there are no controls. You can request a medical refrigerator from the link above that is used in these circumstances.

Will be our eighth cruise on Allure out of Galveston. Each one has been great and have found something new to do each time we are aboard. Have cruised on her with each of our grown sons (separately of course) and grand kids and decided to go on this one before she goes back to Florida and short cruises (what a waste). I'll be the wild one on the zip line flipping, hanging upside down driving the staff crazy.

In Galveston they do not even ask your arrival time. You just go up and they put you in one of the dozen lines to check in. Two weeks ago I had an 11:00am boarding time, arrived at 10:30 and there was almost no line as they had started boarding early. Was onboard by 10:45.

We have lost our decorations on the last two cruises we have taken this summer. The wife makes some really nice butterfly and lizard decorations from figures we purchase from Hobby Lobby and add magnets to the feet or back. This last cruise it was two out of the three decorations that were taken the final night just before we packed. There at dinner time but gone by 9:00pm. Will not stop us from going out and replacing them as it really makes the cabin easy to find but hope it is not a trend. Maybe it will subside once the majority of kids are back in school.
