Seeing that none of us have cruised for a year or longer, I would say that 13 nights is not long enough!  Heck, I would even cruise 13 nights on any Royal ship at this point. lol

As I recall, you don't pre-pay at Everglades. Pay on your way out.
I love parking at Terminal 18 at PE. Surface parking lot across the street from the terminal. Super easy.

We will never get off the ship with all of our luggage WITHOUT getting a porter again.  What a nightmare lugging it all through customs.  Then, in 2019, in Tampa, we used a Porter.  SMARTEST MOVE WE EVER MADE!!!  They knew the "ins and outs" of the port to get us through customs in record time.  We almost felt guilty the way we passed everyone in line.  Needless to say, we tipped well.  From that moment going forward, THIS is the method we use.  Porters are the Rockstars of the ports.

Perhaps the most intoxicated I’ve ever been was on sovereign. Way back in 1998. Stopped at key west. Hit up Sloppy Joe’s, Margaritaville then back to Sloppy Joe’s. Ended up with a Polaroid of me sitting with a boa constrictor around my shoulders, an iguana on my lap and a parrot on my head. Only $20 for the pic ?

Getting aboard before 11 was one of the greatest things ever!!    I just want to get on the ship as soon as possible so I can officially be on vacation.   

I say open up the first cruises to people who don't have to fly to the port.  LOL

Well figures, that’s the weekend that my daughter has a cheerleading competition, and Heather coaches the team. I mentioned going solo and was able to duck just in time to dodge the pan thrown at my head.

Because of this deal, the mom and I booked an 8-night in Sept '21 in a GS.
Thanks to the double (double) points, we'll literally double our current amount and be 1 Suite 7-night away from Diamond. ^_^ and here we thought it would take us FOREVER to get there!

Going the take a couple of cruises in 2021 and get to the Diamond Plus level in a year instead of about ten years.
Booked a 7 day JS on Allure with stops in Labadee and CoCo Cay For our anniversary next year.

I would review the policies on Royal's Cruise with Confidence program.  You have several options, Lift and Shift at anytime, 125% FCC if Royal cancels or 100% fare refund if Royal cancels, 100% FCC if you cancel before they do or partial refund under the original terms of your booking if you cancel before they do. 
I have a Dec 2020 cruise and expect it to cancel.  This was paid for with a 125% FCC from a previous COVID canceled cruise from August.  I will take the 125% FCC when and if Royal cancels the cruise and use it in 2021.
My FCC was issued about 45 days after my August cruise was canceled.

Unfortunately, L&S will not work for the OP because they are intending to rebook for May. The date restrictions for L&S mean they would have to switch to a date one year plus or minus 4 weeks from their original date. ?

“Dreaded”? Lordy, I’m hoping I can hit 59 1/2 and officially start retirement (or at least semi-retirement). Really looking forward to the day I can tell my employer I’m done working and going cruising for the next 25 to 40 or so years.

Isn't that the truth?!  Even with two bathrooms they fight!  So ridiculous lol

With a teenager-especially a girl-the value of the 2nd bathroom can not be underestimated ?

Not an elegant lunch,  but to avoid the crowds on embarkation, we go to Park Central cafe when on Oasis class.   Its fast, and enough to recharge as we're walking the ship.

And I am just here wishing I could complain about experiencing slow food service on a cruise ship.....

Right now, I don't care where I eat lunch just so long as I am ON THAT SHIP!!!

My most favorite room to date has been a GS on Mariner.  Several with adjoining balcony rooms.  

Two adjoining balcony rooms are nice and usually less expensive.  Most ships have a few suites with adjoining balcony rooms as well.  We have done a JS with adjoining balcony room on our last two cruises and two adjoining balcony rooms on the cruise before that.  DD have there own room and bath and my wife and I have our suite.
