  1. We have a group of 10 sailing on Mariner for a 4 nighter. Everyone has purchased the ultimate dinging package and would like to do Hibachi. Current policy does not allow us to book day and time ahead. Based on experience there is no way they are going to have room for all of us at the same time for dinner if we have to wait until we board. Anyone know if we could we purchase Hibachi now allowing us to all pick same day/time and then once onboard explain we have UDP and get a refund or OBC? I called customer service and they said all cruise planner purchases had to be cancelled 3 days prior to sailing. We have cancelled excursions immediately upon boarding and received obc.

  2. We were disappointed in our last visit to Sancho's. They have increased capacity to 700 and as a result service was lacking. Liquor had a strange aftertaste, so we switched to beer. Be prepared for a spring break atmosphere as well. Have not been to Playa Mia but have watched several videos and considering it for upcoming cruise with the grandkids.

The description “Gasoline taste” is alarming considering the fact that spiking alcohol with chemicals is known to be a thing in Mexico. Where was this? I normally ask for unopened cans of Tecate for that very reason.

RIU in Aruba and spring break central, Mr. Sancho's. ALL the liquor bottles at RIU had the same generic white label with black letters. "Tequila", "Vodka", "Whiskey" with no branding. It was horrible. Was not concerned with "spiking". I think it was VERY cheap low quality liquor and I refuse to consume it. Now if I was still 21... LOL

  4. We are going to give Paradise another try since they are offering a RC Blog discount. @Matt during your recent visit did you happen to notice the brands of liquor they were using if you did NOT purchase the top shelf option? We experienced the "gasoline" taste you mentioned in your article at a couple other resorts and ended up going back to beer. TYIA for your response and for working out a discount for your followers.

  5. Sooooo…have decided to take my 80 year old mother on Voyager this Thanksgiving. Looking for ideas for our stop in Cozumel. She is 80, does not require walker or wheelchair, but has some mobility issues. She would like to visit a beach and do some sightseeing. Does anyone have a reliable local driver or other suggestions?

We just received an email an hour ago that our Royal Up bid was accepted.  Email states to reprint boarding passes and luggage tags, however, there is no change on the stateroom number.  Does it take longer?

Congrats! Check again in 24 hours.

Ok now the cruise critic response…

what cabin were you originally in

what did you upgrade to and

what was minimum bid and what bid did it take to win?
