    Could be about to charter.
How do the dates on either side of this one look?

This has happened to my Freedom of the Seas cruise for May, 2020.  While price checking the price per person has more than tripled several times over the last month.  The large rate increase seems to last a day or 2 then readjusts.  Who knows!!??  I'm just hoping to catch the "glitch" when it lowers the price dramatically!  I'm guessing that won't happen but a girl can try!

@GlowTheWeird Did you book through a travel agent?  I would suggest calling them.  If not, I would call Royal Caribbean about your reservation.  I thought it was a computer glitch, but I am a travel agent.  I checked my agency booking website, and every category on this sailing is closed, except these:
3B Spacious ocean view balcony for $6,084 pp (standard pricing)
    6N Ocean view $3,010 pp (BOGO50 NRD)
    6V Interior $2,485 pp (BOGO50 NRD)
This is very strange, but especially since it is so far out.

Like you say either a charter or a web site glitch, as @Dawn T. says, it is almost sold out, but $3100 is excessive

Maybe others have had better luck than I, but Black Friday never had any better pricing on the actual cruises we had previously booked.

Ditto on the 3-card minimums based on my observation.  As for the slots, one of the large, end-of-row $1 machines paid me $120 on just the 2nd or 3rd pull (at $1).  I consider that total luck, and the first time I have come out a head in a long-time.

I check my bookings as well.  I posted recently about rescheduling our Cuban cruise to the Harmony.  At that time, the grand suites were less than the junior suites and only slightly more than an interior.  They do some odd things with the pricing.

GlowTheWeird reacted to JohnK6404 in Formal night?
    Hello @CraniumDrain !
Formal nights are generally a part of all cruises and are not posted ahead of time. You can be pretty confident of the actual nights by looking at a recent Cruise Compass from Harmony with the itinerary that matches yours:
    https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=1071
If you look at the top right-hand corner of the cover page on each day's Cruise Planner, you will see the appropriate attire for that evening...

The number of nights varies based on length of cruise, ship, etc. Harmony will likely have 2 formal nights since most itineraries are 7-nights. The actual days could change based on the specific itinerary (eg. Western vs. Eastern Caribbean).
Here is some info pulled directly from RC website:
    Formal nights:
3/4/5 Night Cruises - Usually on Day 2 6 Night Cruises - Usually on Day 2 and 5 7 Night Cruises - Usually on Day 2 and 6 8 - 10 Night Cruises - 2 Formal Nights, Days vary by ship and sailing 11 - 14 Night Cruises - 3 Formal Nights, Days vary by ship and sailing 15+ Night Cruises - 3 or 4 Formal Nights, Days and number vary by ship and sailing Oasis and Allure - Day 2 and 5 on Western itineraries and Day 2 and 6 on Eastern itineraries Empress of the Seas - Formal Nights are not offered on some sailings Actual link: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/formal-dress-code-guideline

    Have a great time!

I needed to share my joy with someone so here seems like the place.  We leave Sunday on the Allure just hubby and I to celebrate 25 years of marriage then on the 27th we board the Empress with our three children for a family cruise.  I'm so freaking excited even though we just cruised in December.  I cannot wait to be without the kids for a vacation and I'm also excited for Cuba.

Tired of waiting to see if you're one of the lucky few to get a Royal UP email?
Now there's an easier way to check if your sailing has any Royal UP offers available. Once logged in, returning to the Royal Caribbean home page reveals a link to a form that allows you to check for offers. Just enter your last name and reservation ID!
    The wait...is over!

Note: The sailing must be within 30 days.

Not on the way to the cruise, but on the way home, I left a brand new pair of athletic shoes in one of the 348 tiny storage cubbies  in the room. Maybe if I had worn them even once during the trip I would have remembered them... ?

Matt is becoming the RCL Rock Star!
OBTW Matt I am sailing in July and already have 1 magnet for my cabin door, (Adventure) along with others in our group.  I would def. buy a Matt signature magnet if the price was right.  Think about it for the group cruise.    MATT APPROVED with your signature might be fun!

We hired Leo Brown on "Easter Saturday", he is fabulous.
When we met him, there was another group of 4, the "mom/wife" was Marion. I am Mary Ann..... well, I booked with Leo via text, Marion booked with Leo's wife via text... so the Canadians and the New Yorkers spent the day on Leo's entire island tour, I think we saw everything.
It worked out just fine with the double booking,  we all had a good laugh, then he tried to charge me less for the day.
It was a lot of fun, our family will hire him again.
He is a safe, friendly and knowledgeable driver.
But if he gives you beverages before noon, and you need to ... tinkle, just let him know!  LOL
