Just spoke to our TA regarding our July 31, Alaska cruise.... she said she checked and the Lift and shift to a July 2021 Alaska cruise should not be an issue at this time. So I authorized her to go ahead and make the change. She was also handling our FCC debacle as well... so hopefully getting everything straightened out now.   Once I get a new confirmation email, I'll feel a lot better... but I'll take any progress I can get. ?

Just spoke with our TA... she said she was just off the phone with RC and confirmed that a lot of FCC's this weekend were issued incorrectly... including ours. But that it would be rectified in the next few days to a week. 
On another note.... we had a replacement cruise rescheduled due to a May cancellation... it was on 'hold' with a zero deposit thru the end of May... which RC allowed during this time for people getting a FCC from previously cancelled cruises.... We'll while checking on our FCC and the potential for a 'lift and shift'.... RC has just magically cancelled our reservation. 
So in a way... the messed up FCC was a blessing... in that it allowed our TA to discover our hold had been cancelled. Thankfully they were able to reinstate it no problem. 
Now... fingers crossed.... our Lift and Shift gets processed with out any issues. (crossing all fingers, toes, etc.)

Same..... was supposed to recieved over 2000 in fcc...  got my email yesterday.... only 500.

They barely work and just something else to carry around. After the first day... they will just sit in the cabin. 
 

I'd definitely wait. 
At least until a point when RC actually starts cruising as planned.  Even if it's late July,  that still gives you a few months to get air fare.  
I would not start to worry until about 90 days out from your cruise.  So if they aren't sailing by that point, then you have some serious thinking to do.  

Maybe Royal will hold out with the thought that if they can make a go and try to salvage some of the Alaska sailings... they would basically be the only game in town. Might be able to get some folks to book from other sailings that are being cancelled by other cruise lines. 
I know its wishful thinking... but I'm already starting to think about and looking at using the lift n' shift option for our Ovation July 31 cruise.... from this year... to next year. 
Fingers crossed.... but either way... I hope if they are going to cancel, they just go ahead and do it and not draw it out to the last minute. 

I just received my full refund today!! Woop! Woop! It was in 4 separate refund amounts. I’ve read that a few have come through for people recently, so for those of you that haven’t yet I would hope that it will soon. ??

UPDATE: Just received Taxes and fees refund for Cabin 2 today. Everything else is still floating off in the void. Most likely somewhere near the Bermuda triangle, somewhere between an old sunken ship and Royal Caribbean Math.... all are mysteries awaiting to be figured out. ?

I agree with @vanelli56...you will know in plenty of time about the resumption of cruising in order to book flights and hotel...one thing you will see is that while flights are cheap now, they will probably be cheap for a while as the public gets used to traveling again.
I would seriously consider purchasing travel insurance as you get closer, and maybe wait until there is more certainty about the cruise happening. It's always nice to have all the details wrapped up, and all you have to do is show up, but waiting seems like the best option right now.
It might also make sense to look at the difference in fares between reusable and refundable for the flights you are considering.

The NCL article shocks the system, how very very sad. BUT, your loyal patrons are here standing by waiting to sail again. Speaking for my family we found ourselves comparing our land vacations to sailing every time and each and every time sailing came out on top. 
We know you are looking outside the box for ways to get us sailing again for everyones safety BUT glance back and look within also. Our TA family is working so hard and partnering with your patrons for an amazing sailing future. Concentrate on accuracy + speed. Raise the bar and pay attention to the details of our refunds and FCC 's. Please take a look and be as transparent as possible, maybe add one more step to make sure your loyal customers are made whole, the first time. There is a lot of confusion on this end. Re: monies out vs monies refunded.
We want you to succeed, we enjoy so much and choose to spend our very hard earned monies with YOU. Please remember we will be at embarkation on the other side of this awful situation. Every aspect of our interactions matter, everyone needs to be important no matter what the exchange. Please don't relax to soon pertaining to your customers at this time, we do our best to advocate for you and cruising at every nasty insult, looking forward to sailing again soon, 12 June 2020 would be great! Don't let this NCL news bring us down!

Ok, so I have been patiently waiting for a few cruise cabins and misc. items to be either refunded or OBC/FCC issued. Mainly from a May Ovation OTS Alaska cruise that was cancelled by RCI courtesy of the WU-FLU hysteria.   
Given the options of FCC or Cash refunds... one of our cabins opted to take the refund and re-book for the end of July for the same cruise.(Yes... we are optimistic) The price was almost HALF of the original fare so it made sense; the other cabin we opted to take the 125% FCC, and re-book in a Balcony stateroom instead of our original inside cabin. (plus we repriced even lower since the hasty re-booking). 
Well, fast forward to today.... the cabin that we opted for the cash refund is up for the final payment deadline today. Got an email earlier in the week reminding us that it would be charged to my CC on file with the balance due shown. Get a confirmation email today showing the cruise final payment being processed... and all of a sudden the cruise fare is $1.00 higher. I went back and double checked all emails... sure enough, it was suddenly $1.00 higher today. No explanation.
I emailed my TA to inquire about it.... and it seems super silly to ask about such a trivial amount... BUT with everything going on right now with Royal dragging their feet with refunds... my tin foil hat found its way to my head and started wondering if its something RCI is doing intentionally to try to raise some extra capitol. They could potentially raise millions of extra dollars by sneaking that trivial amount on peoples invoices. Given how most people are... I'd guess 75% or more wont even question it when time comes. 
Has anyone else that was forced to cancel and re-book with a final payment due... noticed anything similar??
 
PS.... ELVIS is also alive and well... and I am pretty sure I saw him on Harmony OTS back in September. 
(and aliens are kept at area 51!)

I agree 100%.
My guess is that there was so many cancellations that their system likely crashed, causing them to process refunds by hand. 
My biggest issue with them right now is the complete lack of honesty to their customers as far as the timelines. We get it, you messed up your timeline the first time, tell us that with a mass email rather than making me call and ask where my refund is.

We saw our cash refund today for the June 5 Ovation Alaska cruise that Royal cancelled in the second wave around March 24.  It was cancelled in the system 4/10 (well, that's when I got the cruise planner cancellation).
