  1. Our wifi is quite sporadic in our ATS, so I haven't been posting as much as I had hoped for. 🤪

Yesterday we didn't get off of the ship but spent most of the day on the suite sun deck where it was nice and quiet. We came back to our deck for sailaway and saw some dolphins, but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough with the camera to get a picture.

We had dinner at Giovanni's, and ended up with a wonderful server. I think maybe they were making up for the terrible service that @tiny260received because we had people checking in on us a few times to see how things were and if we needed anything else.

Today we booked a cabana at Labadee and we're looking forward to some swimming and relaxing.

  2. Last night we had dinner at Izumi and we really enjoyed it. The "She's A Geisha" cocktail was so delicious that I had two. For appetizers we had the pork gyoza dumplings and the firecracker shrimp spring rolls. For dinner, two of us shared the Izumi spider roll, spicy crispy shrimp roll and the truffled creamy lobster tempura roll (our favourite out of the three). My mom had the Yaki upon with shrimp and she really liked it. For dessert we chose the mochi ice cream and the chocolate lava cake (it was more of a regular chocolate cake). We said we will try to make it back again for lunch.

  3. Well the dreary weather in Nassau didn't stop us from our private jeep tour with Clamtram. Genie Derick met us at 8:45 am and escorted us to the gangway. We then fought the chilly wind and made our way to our meeting point - The Bearded Clam Sports Bar. I've taken this trip before and really enjoyed it. The tour guide, Christine, is very informative and knowledgeable about the history of Nassau. At 9:30 am, Christine picked us up and we were off! Unfortunately we had to keep the jeep top up. We had the opportunity to tour the island, seeing and stopping at different places of interest, including two beaches (that are more familiar to the locals). The one spot we went to was off one of the main roads, and this is where we had our lunch of BBQ chicken, mac & cheese,  beans and rice, plantain and Bahama Mama's. After lunch we made our way back to the port and arrived back by 1:30 pm. Despite it being colder and windier than we would have liked, we still had a great day!

  4. We arrived to the port and after being dropped off at the Star Class check in, it was wonderful to see @Lovetocruise2002and her family! ❤ We checked in and then our genie Derick came to meet us and bring us to our home for the week - an ATS on deck 9. Derick had some birthday signs and a cake waiting for my mom who turns 80 years young in June. This cruise is the beginning of her birthday festivities. At 12:30 we went to Playmakers to meet up with others in the #MajorStarClassTakeOver. I had the poke nachos and the goal post margarita (minus the jalapeño). Both were delicious. After lunch, we took my friend on a tour of the ship since she's an Oasis rookie. Dinner for us was also at Coastal Kitchen. All three of us had the filet and thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, two of us had the poached pear with ice cream and the other had the royale chocolate cake. We ended the night watching the headliner Jesse Hamilton. He played Simba in Lion King and has a fantastic voice. Tomorrow we're doing a private tour in Nassau with Clamtram.

  5. Thanks to@Lovetocruise2002 for letting me know when this sailing came out! We got a great deal on an ATS! We're looking forward to our first star class cruise with our genie Derick. There's three of us traveling tomorrow from DTW to MIA - myself, my mom,  and a friend of mine. After receiving our negative tests at 4 pm this afternoon, we are really excited now!

This is how the Royal Caribbean guest services told me to reserve the testing. I booked a time slot for when our ship returns to port, but you don't have to prepay. Hopefully that can help a few others still looking for pricing, depending on their ship and port.

Thank you for sharing the link. I'm just wondering how far in advance the appointments are open to schedule. I tried to book for March 20, but it it is saying No Time Available.

We did eventually get the results, 2.5 hours later (after being told results would be 45 minutes) but the results for BOTH my wife and I were “inconclusive”.

While the Miami airport option (Nomi Health) is expensive I will be using it in the future for peace of mind. They had a very efficient set up and had our results in 17 minutes. I don’t mind paying for peace of mind.

Thanks for the information. Did you book the testing ahead of time at the airport?

    Bot malfunction? ?

I can beat both you @emsff02 and @twangster.  I have 785 days till Oasis 3/13/2022.  That is the #majorstarclasstakeover sailing!

But I will bow out for fear of @Matt truly never letting me live it down.

The honour for earliest start goes to Mr. Mentor Bot. ?

@Lovetocruise2002 Did you start a blog already for our sailing in 2022 and I missed it??? ?

Hubby and I decided to get off the ship around 10:30 am just to walk around for a bit. It was hot so we really didn’t stay too long.

We walked along Calle Fortaleza and many of the shops there are still boarded up.  The umbrellas are taken down still and graffiti was evident everywhere, even on the walls of buildings.

Oh no! I hope they are back up by next Thursday!

Am I the only one wondering where they do their business? Is there some type of extra cleaning fee like hotels charge or are the low paid stewards responsible to just clean up after them like normal? And my dog isn't a fan of cars never mind a ship. Most dogs don't like boats either so I wonder how they take it.

I saw a little patch of fake grass along the walking track. I love my dog but would never want to bring her on a cruise. ?
