You can use your Diamond vouchers on any drink you like, either alcoholic or non-alcoholic.  They can make a lot of their drinks non-alcoholic, especially if it's a premade mix or a juice with a hard liquor added.

Tune in to @Matt's most recent podcast, which will be released to the public tomorrow (today for Royal Caribbean Blog INSIDERS!!) - he interviewed a woman who just sailed out of Bayonne a couple of weeks ago.  Excellent information for ya!
Again, it'll be available tomorrow (Wednesday) wherever you like to stream podcasts, or direct from the website:

We're doing Oasis Aug 5 2022 also -- can't wait! First doing Anthem in January.  And yes, DH drops off me, 2 daughters (1 in wheelchair), and all the luggage at the terminal. We have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes for him to park & walk back to join us, but that was in previous years when it was quite busy.  Not sure what January will be like yet, in terms of passenger capacity.

Don't know if they're doing it post-Covid, but I did an Izumi Sushi making class, where they teach you to make a few things, and you get to eat the results -- and invite others to help you finish! It was fun, and while my DH refused, DD helped me finish the rolls.

Hi again Whitsmom.  We made it back from a 10 night on Freedom with no problems!  Just had to do a couple of nose swabs for the back to backs - negative.  Ship was about 20-40 percent capacity - smallest 1191 to 2609 largest - holds 4375.  Masks were on and off (sorry about that) - most wore them some did not - was really not a big deal since we were outside mostly or eating/drinking.  Really nothing to do ashore - mostly closed at Nassau.  Stayed on the ship and just glad to be sailing again.
    Talk later, take care.

Haven't been on a ship yet, but I THINK that they are required indoors unless you are eating/drinking. Karaoke, since you're singing, would definitely spread more particles (and spread them farther) than just talking, so probably, unless they have you behind a clear wall that gets sanitized between singers

MaryCS62 got a reaction from emmef in vaccine booster - 14 day requirement
Plus, right now, the recommendation is only for "high risk" people to get the booster -- ie, front line workers (police, fire, medical, hospital & nursing home employees), immunocompromised -- not everyone.  And, a booster is not required in the way that the initial 1 or 2 dose vaccine was/is in a lot of places

I would imagine Giovannni's is your best bet for on the ship.  Sorry I can't speak to the ports. Giovanni's on Adventure was wonderful, so hopefully will be the same on Oasis

Good news is, in an environment where sunglasses are required, masks aren’t.

No, not at all...mallard duck perhaps! I do love the lanyard though, you can tuck it under a T-shirt. I'm really not too concerned about looks on this cruise. I just want to be safe and comfortable.

Had a table next to us (group of 8ish) that wore the same shorts + muscle shirts all week in the main dining room. My 9yr daughter kept reminding us they were dressed wrong and of course had to say it loudly every night.

I have to admit that one of the many reasons I'm excited about sailing on Oasis in September is because I'm looking forward to doing exactly this. ?

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Neesa in Currently on Freedom, confused about gratuities.
We prepay, but only about a week or so in advance of the cruise -- I forget the # of days, but it's basically the latest we can do it prior to the cruise.  I prefer to prepay, since I don't like seeing the daily charges creeping up, but don't want to give them my money too early either

They'd have to drag me out of a lazy river at Coco Cay.  (A precedent has been set - I had to be coaxed out of one at the Westin Scottsdale at closing time by hotel staff.  I was unhappy about their decision).

Free for all to use is how I would do it.
With the river running right past the other side of the swim-up bar in Oasis Lagoon. You enter your order on the app while getting into the river, and pick up your drink while floating past the bar. ?

I work in a hospital in a major city, and they eliminated temperature checks in all of our system facilities a couple of months ago.  Masks still required, but temp checks are no more. That being said, we are still required to self monitor, and if you have a fever, you DO NOT report to work.
