When I cruised out of there in November they weren’t checking boarding times, but as others have said don’t get upset if you are told you have to wait, but most likely will be fine.

Naming convention wise this makes a ton of sense
Downside is the adults only area is right down from all the water slides and above the family area so definitely won't be a quiet area
Will be very interesting to see how it works out
It definitely won’t be quiet as it’s supposed to have a Vegas pool atmosphere to it. My guess is music will be pretty loud unless they change that.

We made it to Atlanta, where our plane to Houston has been delayed 30 minutes. Indiana son’s flight was delayed but now back to original time. SC family is in the air to Dallas, TX. By gosh, it’s looking like we are all gonna make it.
Sitting in capital lounge where hubby is watching basketball, and I’m pretty much talking to myself!YAY!!!

Well, my wife's time off request wasn't officially approved, but she's not on the schedule LOL. I think her manager doesn't know how to work the new system. Always react mode with staffing. Anyway, relieved she's making it.
Darn I was hoping you would need a fill in and be taking offers

I would expect something similar on this one !!!
I wouldn't be surprised if it's something bigger and better. They seem to be going all out with the launch of Icon and this could be a pretty awesome inaugural.

@LandstromCruiseThat’s what I’m leaning towards, but “credit card” hubby and Indiana son preferred to wait till the last moment to do that. Last moment is going to going to leave our luggage on a cancelled plane. How long before you can get your luggage after flight is cancelled?
I probably when generally lean toward them, but not if it comes to possibly missing my cruise....no way!!

Oh my, it’s going to be a tough ride for all of us to get to Galveston. Son number two, from Milwaukee, decided to fly out last night, after getting a warning from his apartment complex that their heating system may not handle the upcoming temperatures and wind factor. Son number one, from Indiana, is on the list for possible delays or cancellations. Not sure his game plan. South Carolina group seems to be fine. Coming from Kentucky it’s all about the wind.
Main problem is we are not going to really know until flying day tomorrow on just how bad the wind will be. Trying to think of back up plans. I think there’s going to be a lot of people that are not going to make this trip, pray we are not in that group!jump in that car right now and get to driving!!!!

The icing on the cake will be if I can get the heck out of Surfside lol
I heard @Matt has a suite for the cruise. Maybe he has room on the couch for you . Or you can always find a bench in Central Park or one of those pods in the Aquadome.

Can it be booked at this price and be cancelled if we change our minds?
yes you can always cancel and get a refund if you change your mind, or if it gets cheaper.

thanks! wasn't quite that low for my cruise Mar 1, but did save me about $30 from when I had booked it, so cancelled and rebooked!!

Until @Jax's most recent live SC blog, I wasn't even aware that there was an option for tipping the Genie "electronically:. That's actually much easier than trying to come up with a fist-ful of cash on the last day !!
especially if the cash you brought got donated in the casino

yeah that's why i don't get it. totally agree if it was butter in a container that was opened and have to be thrown out, i would agree with the change. but these are just the little pre-wrapped individual butters that they then put into a container. there would be no reason to need to throw out any that were unopened. and then at that point leave them out. it also helps them thaw out by being left out. nothing i hate more than hard frozen butter

If any of you solo travelers ever need to drag someone along to help reduce the cost I’m happy to tag along. Heck I don’t even need to sleep in the room. Cruise on an oasis class and I can just sleep in Central Park on a bench. Make it seem even more like a real park with a homeless guy camping out

Why would anyone book it as a solo then? Just book a 2nd person and have them no show. Or are they figuring out a way around that as well?

I take the stairs on my cruises so typically haven’t really gained any weight while on them.

Bad news @GregD. Hubby just took a look at the Visa charges this afternoon and said we are never booking the NYE tables again! Now cabanas and NYE are on the "no" list.
However, I am not one to give up so easily lol. To be continued...
You’ve got to get a new card that all cruise charges go on and hubby doesn’t have access to

While I'm happy for Sabrina getting the upgrade, I am a little disappointed for the blog. I feel like we are going to now miss out on some great material she could have provided hating on staying in "tot town"
