  1. Past hour
  2. They'll bring a sharps container as well if you need one.
  3. oh sweet lord. i need to lay down. gooDBYE FOREVER THIS IS SO GROSS
  4. $1000 charged = $10. You can cash in on line for on board credit. If you charge about $70,000 or $700 credit...that is a BOGO or 2 for one cruise. Usually that's a 7 night Caribbean ocean view. If you pay the difference for a specific cruise, for example, the difference between an ocean view and a balcony, you can upgrade the 2 for 1. These are approximate numbers. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/visa-signature/royal-caribbean-visa-signature-rewards-options.pdf Gives the details. It takes a fair amount of cash flow for significant rewards and interest rates are not the best. Depending on your circumstances, it can provide some perks.
  5. Am I understanding correctly….we both have the UDP. At Playmakers, we EACH have a $20 credit, 1 visit per day? So in effect, we can use my $20 credit and share an Onion Ring tower at lunch and go back in the evening and use my wife’s $20 on wings?
  6. Just wish Royal would do the same thing, or worse, to the lounge chair hogs by the pools!
  7. Today
  8. Yes, I had a medical refrigerator for my sailing on Ovation. It wasn't in my cabin when we arrived, bur the steward wasted no time in getting one for us.
  9. How did you like the cruise, and more importantly how did your 92 year old cousin like her 1st cruise?
  10. Yesterday
  11. Who did you book this through? We just got changed to Grand Turk and there are no excursions listed in the cruise planner
  12. Good question. We plan to eat the other 1/2 of the week's in specialty.
  13. It will obviously vary by business. Some will and some won’t. Just like how not all businesses in Seattle accept Canadian currency. Those that will take them aren’t going to do you any favors with the exchange rate. Just use a card, it’s much easier
  14. Do they? Yes, but you'll get a terrible exchange rate. Better to just use your credit card.
  15. I would recommend using a credit/debit card to get the best exchange rate. US Dollars in cash would be hit/miss and the exchange rates unfavorable.
  16. Do the shops and restaurants in Vancouver take US Dollars? We will be staying near the central park area for a couple of nights and then looks like were docked for 2 days. Any recommendations on food and bars? Or things to do. Thanks
  17. The ship was going around 20 kn at the time he jumped from midship, he was most likely sucked under instantly.
  18. I don't think so, most people don't jump from their own balcony, this kid couldn't have. His balcony didn't have a clear path to water, just another balcony below it.
  19. And if the medical refrigerator isn't there when you get to your stateroom, Guest Services can send one over quickly.
  20. When it happens on a balcony it seems like it's usually someone screwing around, like trying to get to another balcony.
  21. I noticed that even the 3-night packages have a discount, something that I've not seen in forever. I wish they had done that in time for my Symphony sailing back in February.
  22. It sure sucks. I don't envy your situation. I've learned to scour over every cruise invoice the second I get it looking for anything out of place.
  23. Okay, errors happen all the time, but if you do not have a travel agent to oversee this, then you have to stay calm and try to negotiate what will be in your best interests. Saying you will never set foot on a RC ship and they are a horrible company does not get too much cooperation from an agent. Calm down, take a deep breath, and consider the options more rationally. Yes, it was their error, so yes, they need to make it up to you as you are a loyal customer. You also should ask to have the situation escalated to a supervisor. If you do not go on the June 6th cruise, it will not be the end of the world. Instead, you need to see what is the best possible alternative RC can offer you--upgraded cabin, additional onboard credit, bigger ship, longer cruise--see what else is out there that could be of potential interest. Maybe book two cruises for the price of the one you miss! Also, in the future, check your reservation every week or so, which is what travel agents have to do. I mean, the ship could have had to go into dry dock for some kind of issue, and you would still miss the date, but you would probably not have to be so furious. I have lost so many trips the past few years due to Covid, war in Israel, Russian invasion, etc., that anymore I consider it great if everything does work out perfectly. Hopefully there will also be future opportunities for more travel! Best wishes!
  24. Good. Hope Royal Caribbean took hard and fast action. It's a shared experience. Play by the rules or be gone.
  25. They added the ability to set the number of guests. I wish they'd let you tie it into a current booking to show a true price difference.
  26. I'm solo too, so not distracted by my immediate party. But again I also get distracted by everything else going on when I am with my immediate party and see everything...maybe it's just us
  27. Seward: Won't have the 10th until tomorrow, but it's still not looking good. Who else is going to spend the day on a boat in the glaciers before sailing home? Show of hands.
