cgbdpm Posted October 25, 2024 Report Posted October 25, 2024 Currently on Brillance of the seas in Progresso, Mexico. We should have left port 2 hours ago and captain said engineers said we should be underway hopefully soon. Sounds like engine issues. RCIfan1912 and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote

scotty1 Posted October 25, 2024 Report Posted October 25, 2024 This is not the first time brilliance has had propulsion issues. Earlier this year, March of 2024, they had to cut a trip short for the same thing. Sounds like they did a cheap fix and and it's back to haunt them and all of us aboard. Quote
cgbdpm Posted October 25, 2024 Author Report Posted October 25, 2024 Just went to guest services and they said they have no information and are waiting for the captains announcement. We have been in port 13 hours past our departure time. Quote
cgbdpm Posted October 25, 2024 Author Report Posted October 25, 2024 Captain just announced they fixed the technical issue a couple of hours ago, but we are waiting for another ship to dock next to us and should be leaving in 30 minutes. He said he will update the arrival time in a couple of hours and the ship will be going full speed ahead. Shari 1 Quote

Assuming the issue is truly fixed, Radiance class ships are among the fastest in the fleet, so that'll help. But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some delay for the next cruise. smokeybandit Posted October 25, 2024 Report Posted October 25, 2024 That $200 just isn't anywhere close to enough. There are going to be a good many people not able to even find any flights out until the next day, if not later, and will need hotels, too. Sure, the standard trip insurance disclaimer applies, but still. KJones 1 Quote

What a difference!! Glad to see they are a as bit more on the ball here. I agree $200 doesn’t cover it. RCIfan1912 1 Quote
