  1. I've used them 3 times for cruises. I believe last cruise was $125 for 9 days. The parking is very safe IMHO, the only issue was returning on the shuttle last cruise. We were at terminal G and had an extended wait as their shuttles filled at the other terminals and didn't stop at G. But we got back to the car in under an hour after disembarking.
  2. I wouldn't worry about it, most people on the cruise will be more concerned with getting a seat by the pool or a good seat for the show.
  3. I've stayed at the Place d'Armes which is near Jackson Square and a block from Cafe Du Monde. Really easy to walk the quarter from the hotel. If you're looking for a place near the port then I would book the Hilton.
  4. Proud to say zero points. Casinos are too smoky for me.
  5. Just did this cruise and I loved the ship and the ports. Only change I would make is to avoid a school holiday week.
  6. They retake our photos at the terminal even if we successfully upload them. Don't worry
  7. If a lot of ships are in port traffic can be really bad. Might be easier to let someone else drive you to the ship. Parking runs $22 per day if I remember correctly.
  8. As GregD noted you can do this. Which port and from where approximately? How many days to drive there? Use one of the travel sites and run the scenarios to see if it is economically viable. Probably going to run you $200 - $250 each way if you are going to Florida.
  9. This is what I should have done. Had to get creative to make the Princess tags fit on our cruise from Sydney to New Zealand.
  10. Did the TA from Miami last year on Explorer. We really enjoyed the cruise. Just did the Eastern Caribbean on her this month. Smaller ship but still a nice layout. What do you need to know?
  11. We will usually pick our cabin but last year I found a great price for a GTY balcony on a TA cruise. Saved about $900/PP. We were happy with the cabin we were assigned. Did a GTY again this February and no problems with the cabin assigned again. For us the savings were worth it as we are usually ok with forward or aft cabin selections.
  12. Promenade after the first show in the theater. Solarium from 10 - 4 on sea days.
  13. Maybe in the sports bar if they have one. Check the app and see if it is listed on the daily activities. Hope they have it playing somewhere.
  14. Earliest you can grab if you need to reserve dining, shows or any other issues. Later if you want access to your cabin right as you board. Planning to park at the port or off site? I park off site in Miami and there is a crush for their shuttles right at the start that can take some time to get through. If you have any issues standing for long periods I would arrive after the initial rush. Of course you won't have this issue if you park at the port. Enjoy your cruise
  15. Will you have to clear customs in Rome? That could take up some time if you do. I'd fly in the day before if that is the only flight I could get.
  16. Is there a covered garage close to T18 or is the open lot the only real choice? Map images show the Palms garage to be a good distance away. Believe my cruise in January is using T18.
  17. https://www.portseattle.org/SEAspotsaver It's possible to make an appointment for TSA security in Seattle. Might help with any anxiety over timing you have. I haven't used it but have heard it works fairly well.
  18. Good advice, I take a European adapter and an Australian adapter to get USB ports for charging.
  19. We did this tour in February but not through RCI. We booked with Native Choice and really enjoyed the tour. Native Choice was very reasonably priced and the guide was excellent. The bus was modern and air conditioned. Roads were good IIRC. Plenty of shade at the ruins.
  20. Stayed there with my family years ago. Had a really nice stay and Cafe Du Monde is a short walk. Good recommendation
  21. I was in Northern New York visiting my son and woke up to the same snow. Reminded me why we live in Tennessee now.
  22. Back in 1973 we (mom, dad, sister me) flew into Dubai from Iran. On arrival at the airport they had all passengers put their passports in a large cardboard box as we exited the plane. When we flew back out three days later we got to dig through that large box with all the other passengers looking for our passports. Surprisingly there were no issues. Still the most bizarre passport control I have ever encountered.
