Nice option there when you leave port as early as 2pm. There's a beach club we went to years ago that I'd go back to but every time we do Western Costa Maya is an early departure and I can't see bothering. Definitely a nice port area. WAYNO
We are now steaming away from Costa Maya . That's another way to say the end of our cruise is approaching. These cruises go so fast. Sweety and TessFromFlorida
WAYNO
Our hallway is full of fun loving people, as seen by so many cabin doors. Also, this ship has had more duck hiders than any ship we have been on. This has been a fun cruise, and we have met so many fun people. WAYNO
The casino and C&A keeps us lavished with treats, including wine. We try to be good, and abstain, often giving our wine to other passengers. We have yet to find anybody who wants it, so I guess we will bring it home. There are worse dilemmas. WAYNO
Day 6. MDR for dinner. Steak and lobster. Both very good, and very worth getting dressed up. And our servers were delightful. Then back in the cabin, my Wife snapped this spectacular sunset. Cactus527, Sweety, MaryS and 5 others 6

I am eating breakfast, ever so scrumptious. I've gotta mention again, last night's lobster. Often, folks on this forum are so critical of what they say is the worst lobster ever, aboard Royal Caribbean. Even leaving the restaurant I overheard an old grump complaining of the lobster. But the lobsters my Wife and I were served were truly wonderful. Proof again, instead of professing how bad the food is, just recognize everybody has different tastes and expectations . And I will go home pleased, with memories of what is now my favorite ship. asquared17, Cactus527, Lovetocruise2002 and 4 others

It's small and I'd never pay $16.99 for a 2nd (I actually did have two b/c I got my wife's) but it tasted good. Welcome to the Wonder fan club! GatorCruiser
Agreed @WAYNO. It’s like people expect every meal on a mass market cruise line to be a 3 star Michelin meal and if it isn’t they’re pissed. I have never really been aghast at anything I’ve had on a Royal cruise. Some items are better than others no doubt , but it’s all fine. WannaCruise
We're pretty easy going, but found the food in the MDR on Wonder (a couple weeks prior to you) was very good overall. It's probably the best since covid that we've experienced, almost on par with what it was beforehand. And agree with what was said...the lobsters were small but very good. I did purposely try the potato salad on day 7. And as you've found, it is indeed delicious. I had a brat and a hot dog also. Both were good. Now with the previous discussions of a Chicago dog, although I could not see the trimmings available, I saw one person walk away with one. Correction... it was relish and sauerkraut. WAYNO
This trip was a flash in the pan. It was wonderful. We get off the boat in an hour and must wait til tonight for a flight. Connections to PDX are not always convenient and we must take what we can get. I was thinking, we don't take advantage of most of the perks available with out C&A and casino status. Laundry is one of these perks. I tried it for the first time on this cruise and it worked! I may be onto something new. Thanks for coming along with us on this cruise. My wife cruises to Alaska with a friend in July, and then we will do the same cruise together in September. We both received very decent cruise certificates on this cruise, so now we've got to start planning all over again. We pack pretty light and I feel like packing up has never been an issue so I'd just be using it b/c I can. Maybe my wife will send out her workout clothes or something. I don't send out anything that I care about..that's for sure. It is helpful to fit 7+ nights in a carry-on. It's nice to come back and be able to dump all the clean stuff back into my drawers..or repack for the next cruise Sweety, Cactus527, OCSC Mike and 1 other

Don't take the stories of major shrinkage and clothes being "ruined" too seriously. We have been using the W&F service for many years and I have never EVER had anything ruined....and I send virtually EVERYthing to the laundry. That was us on Allure last year. We saw him for a minute the first day but then barely again and I also didn't know his name until day 4 or 5. I think that is part of the reason I was so impressed with Frank on Symphony this week. He was always around, cheerful, thoughtful, etc. WAYNO, Cactus527 and PPPJJ-GCVAB
