Scooter
Seeking the good, bad and the ugly on this ship. Looking into the 7 nigh from Ft Lauderdale in Aug 2024. So far we have been on Oasis (July 2022) and just got off Liberty a few weeks ago. Loved Oasis because of the size and so many things to do. Liberty was also enjoyable. Freedom doesn’t have the tidal wave slide or a broadway show so that’s a concern, especially on a 7 night cruise. Our party is myself, wife and kids (20, 17 at time of sailing). Any insight is greatly appreciated! RCIfan1912
HeWhoWaits
If you enjoyed Liberty, you should like Freedom. If you're all about the production shows, you might consider just going to New York and hitting a real Broadway production. Ampurp85
I love Freedom but she doesn't have as much as an Oasis class. However I think you can still enjoy the ice shows and production shows without them feeling too dated. Now I have to say I gamble so my experience is a bit tainted because it's mostly spent in the casino and Playmakers. Ryan79
Freedom is no Oasis class, but there is still going to be a lot of fun to be had onboard. Going down in ship class is an adjustment for sure, but it’s not something I would completely base my decision on. PPPJJ-GCVAB
smokeybandit
Freedom is a great ship. The difference between ship classes (at least Voyager and above) is highly overrated. dr martini, Scooter, PPPJJ-GCVAB and 1 other 3

I am also a fan of the casino and have been known to skip some of the entertainment to hit the craps table! Thank you for the input-
dr martini
Freedom was amp'd right before the COVID shutdown so she's still basically brand new in many spots and a very big ship, was the biggest ship in the world at one point! Was just on her earlier this year and had an awesome time and when we go cruising again she and the other amp'd Voyager/freedom class ships (Nav, Mariner, Indy, Freedom) will be my first choice. I personally like freedom class better than oasis for a variety of reasons. Royal marketing is always about the latest and greatest but I wish it wouldn't make all the folks who are on the slightly older ships feel like they are missing out because you absolutely are not. teddy, Scooter, PPPJJ-GCVAB and 1 other 3

If you ask my wife what her favorite ship is, her answer will always be "Freedom". She's always trying to find a way to sail on her again. dr martini, steverk, JustMeJoe and 2 others 4

It wouldn't be Freedom, but you could combine it with a sailing out of Cape Liberty.
dr martini
@teddy feel the same way and can't wait until she's off the Nassau, Perfect day route and starts some longer routes again. Awesome, hidden gem of the fleet imo teddy, Mturk and WAAAYTOOO

In fact, I'd much prefer Freedom b/c it has Playmakers and El Loco Fresh (yes, it always come back to food for me). Scooter
tonyfsu21
Freedom is awesome!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to book a 7 day voyage on that ship. The crew is great and there are plenty of dining and activity options after the AMP. We sailing her again in a couple weeks. JasonOasis
Liberty is a Freedom Class ship, yes there are some small differences but if you loved Liberty you will love Freedom as well and you will have just as much fun on Freedom as you did on Liberty. I've sailed on Freedom numerous times and I would not hesitate to book another cruise on Freedom again. WAAAYTOOO and Scooter 1
Fuzzywuzzy
We have sailed on Quantum, Voyager and Radiance classes. The Liberty has some sailings from Bayonne next year that we are looking at to put Freedom class under our belts.
