jake1004
What should I know about the Royal Suite on Freedom of the Seas? Any perks of booking it? Room 1640
GregD
The same perks as any other suite on the ship except, an officer is supposed to escort you onto the ship, and you get a welcome bottle of champagne. Here is a link to the different perks. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-suites-program That being said, the room is huge, with a nice big balcony so if that's your thing go for it. I'll be in that room for a B2B in April.
Lovetocruise2002
It’s a great cabin! But its noisy. Perks are as what @GregD described. I did a post cruise blog on it last July. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/34006-freedom-of-the-seas-july-24-29th-2022-the-post-cruise-blog-/
bobroo
There are five independent cabin reviews on YouTube for this cabin.
MLH
You do get escorted on to the ship by the concierge.

Its actually sad, if paying for a Royal Suite one should get at minimum Sky Class benefits. Royal really should look at their suites program and standardize it. At least wifi, leave the concierge alone! They are busy enough with the multiple suites and pinnacle guests. Come on Royal, you are bragging about bookings being better then ever, look in your rear view for a second and support your crew as well as your guests. A superior product begets next cruise bookings! Revisit the suites product sooner rather then later. Please? The suite program has declined to the point where I am now booking Celebrity unless I need my flowrider fix. Even though they are the same corporate entity you can see the differences in their individual brands before merging. Celebrity suite program surpasses Royal in every aspect even some Star Class perks. Lovetocruise2002, WAAAYTOOO and Neesa 2

I believe Royal's issue is they can't offer the same benefits across the fleet. Smaller/older ships don't have the means to offer the same benefits as bigger/newer ships. So it can never be truly standardized across the fleet. Neesa

This is true, however, they all have internet/wifi packages (starlink). Standardize the perks that are available on all ships and keep the perks available only on Sea/Sky/Star class. The increase in cruise fare for the non-suite class vessels is coming surprisingly close to the suite class vessels. Saw 1-Br grand suite on the Adventure OTS in 2025 for over $10,000. Of course the smaller vessels "star" class would be silly as they are....smaller vessels. The internet is something they could easily add to the amenity package of their suites program across the fleet. To enhance, mitigate or even sell higher end cabins on the smaller ships if they proudly advertised Sky Class benefits across our entire fleet.... now that would get people like me excited and I'm a Royal enthusiast! I personally believe little to no effort with a program announcement like this would drive even more monies their way. Just my 2 cents, I still booked the suite so I accept I'm part of the problem, Xaa and WAAAYTOOO

Just my 2 cents, I still booked the suite so I accept I'm part of the problem, I completely agree with you and have been advocating for more standardized suite amenities for many years. Also agree that complimentary internet would be extremely easy and should be implemented, fleet-wide. IMO, the only thing that really is a challenge to having full Suite Class benefits across the entire fleet is the lack of a dedicated suites restaurant in non-O/Q class ships. All of the rest of the shortfalls could be accommodated. ...and even the lack of the suites restaurant could be overcome just by allowing the suite guests to dine in one of the specialties for dinner...and of course, SC could go anywhere, anytime. I really don't think it would be that hard to do. Make the OS + RS Star Class. GS are Sky and JS are Sea, just like everywhere else. WAAAYTOOO
I've never stayed in a Royal Suite on any ship. One of these days I will get there....
Lovetocruise2002
I totally agree with all of the above. I have long thought that VOOM should be included for anything GS and above regardless of the ship. That being said, the Royal Suite is a pretty awesome room. Not the Royal Loft, but it is still a huge space and a huge balcony. The bathroom is way better than most other suite bathrooms. And if it's Freedom class, there 2 bathrooms in that room. @Neesa sorry, Voyager class only has one. WAAAYTOOO and Neesa

Now more than ever Voom should be across the fleet complimentary for all full suites. F1guynz, WAAAYTOOO and Neesa
