We went on the Acadia Nation Park/Lobster lunch tour, and it was great. We're headed there in July. Debated between the one you did and the Ultimate Island Experience. We booked the Island Experience instead. This is one of the ports that we are most excited for, mainly because it is very different from what we are used to. heffy2
heffy2
It was a really nice tour, and the history of Bar Harbor and Acadia’s creation was fascinating. Lovetocruise2002
heffy2
Good morning! We have a late morning arrival in St John today, so I’m going back to sleep for a bit, lol. JLMoran, ellcee and JohnK6404
monctonguy
Welcome to NB!....today is sunny and cool...frost on the car this morning to scrape off... heffy2
Thanks so much @monctonguy! I’m really excited, and it looks beautiful coming in to the harbor right now. monctonguy

heffy2
I’m sitting here in the solarium enjoying breakfast, and the couple sitting next to me is repeating a familiar refrain onboard this morning. There ya a little issue tendering last night in Bar Harbor. A large well developed around 4:30, and tendering had to stop for about an hour and a half. I heard the local tender guys from my balcony saying that there were over 1200 people waiting. Now, the conspiracy theory’s are in full force. The people next to me believe it was Royals fault for not being prepared for the volume of people with walkers and canes! Vwjo
How popular is this sailing? Do you know if it was full capacity? It's on my one of my really need to do someday list. Especially this time of the year♡!
heffy2
I don’t think this sailing is full, but I’ll have to ask at guest services. The bartenders have been talking about what a slow cruise this is for them, but I haven’t seen a drink card yet. Vwjo
heffy2
Saint Johns yesterday was so great. We took a cab over to reversing falls. We started at the lower park and walked up and across the bridge. Deedeelynn, JLMoran, JohnK6404 and 1 other
heffy2
After crossing the bridge, in the name of research, we had to stop at the restaurant. The seafood chowder wasn’t as good as the stuff we tried in Portland the other day, and it definitely wasn’t worth the $15 price tag, but I was prepared for that. heffy2
Today is day 7 and our second sea day. I’m still surprised how well this ship handles crowds. I’m going to try and get in to We Will Rock You at 2:30, even though I have it reserved for 6:30. We’ll see how that goes. Right now, just hanging in the Pub. WAAAYTOOO
When you go in to watch WWRY, look on either side of the stage at the enclosed alcoves. That is where the band sits. I find it fascinating to watch the band, knowing that there is no conductor there with them. The conductor is actually in ANOTHER area and the band is watching him on CCTV from a screen that is facing the stage above the balcony. heffy2 and JLMoran
heffy2
Just got to watch a bunch of guys from housekeeping and laundry play soccer at Seaplex. They’re damn good! heffy2
Good morning from a cold, gray Halifax! Hopefully the showers hold off for about 5 hours. This morning was a bit interesting with a code Alpha right in the middle of the Captains good morning message. Hopefully the guest with the medical issue is ok. Of course this delayed the clearance of the ship, which caused people to be very sultry. Lovetocruise2002 and JLMoran
monctonguy
Lots of rain here today....but very mild. I think Halifax isn't supposed to get much more than some off/on showers today. Enjoy exploring....lots to do and see in the Halifax area.... heffy2
heffy2
It’s a little wet, but I’ve really enjoyed walking around. We explored the Maritime Museum, which was really cool, especially the second floor with the Cunard and Titanic displays. Now we’re just walking around Grafton street. heffy2
We made it to Garrison Brewing, and I sat and relaxed while my mom looked in the shops at the pier. heffy2
So, just a quick update, captain just mentioned ten min ago before we departed, that around 1-3am we’ll encounter 50 knot winds and 20 foot seas until around 11 am tomorrow. I’m currently in Wonderland for the first time and am blown away! ellcee, Lovetocruise2002, Skigoofy and 3 others

heffy2
Good morning from a very comfy, rocking and rolling Anthem of the Seas! YOLO
@heffy2 Sorry I did not contribute to this blog. Ceil and I had a great time on this cruise though. We were mostly in the Solarium. I'll check my camera pics (not yet downloaded) to see if I have anything interesting to add here. We usually "disconnect" on our cruises and pretty much stay off-line. This is actually the first time I am seeing this. Thanks for your blog work! I wish I had been following... heffy2
