ScooterScott22
The local news just reported that a crew member went overboard from Harmony of the Seas. Ship was reported to be ~200 miles from Puerto Rico. Search is underway. Susie, spiralqueen and KLA
KLA
Oh no - always really awful to hear news like that. I hope they're found.
Al Horner
Maybe this is inappropriate, but I want to commend KLA for using the word "they're" correctly. In this day and age of using shortcuts for social media, many people have forgotten some basic grammar and punctuation rules. A personal pet peeve is when someone uses "there" for the contraction for "they are". OK. I'm done. 4ensic
Arron Hough, the missing crewmember, is the dancer furthest right in the line closest the camera. I took this on the Freedom. In addition to Mr. Hough, let's remember the rest of the cast who are left to perform without him. Ray
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8064661/arron-hough-coast-guard-werent-told-overboard/ Think the main issue was that it happenned about 4am xmas morning and no one noticed until much later that he was gone, it was only after they checked cctv of ship that the saw him going out onto deck 4 then up to deck 5 but never return. Joe01
This is absolutely tragic, especially given his age. The crew apparently did not know until the next morning when he did not turn up at his scheduled event. The event was absolutely a suicide unfortunately. I found his Twitter page and there were several tweets indicating that something was not right. Also, people should know that you cannot "fall off" a ship like the Harmony accidentally. Having sailed on her multiple times, I can assure you that her Deck 5 Jogging Track is one of the hardest to "fall off" as it is so enclosed. It's such a shame. Thoughts with his family, but also the Harmony team. Baked Alaska
KathyC
I thought there was cameras everywhere - but I guess he knew where there wasn't?
ScooterScott22
Thanks to those who gave updates, I had hoped to have more after this evenings news. Sad to say it sounds like the cameras were checked but multiple hours after the event. Hoping for the best for his friends and family. bhageerah
Thank you for sharing, SO sad and tragic especially for his coworkers! I know that "the show must go on" but I also know that it will be extremely hard to continue and perform with their loss!
